Amber raised her own eyebrows back at him, swallowing a bite of food. "What do you think, hun?"
Amber raised her own eyebrows back at him, swallowing a bite of food. "What do you think, hun?"
William merely smiled, going back to eating his food. Once he was done, he stood up to take the plates to the kitchen so he could wash them. Just a little bit longer.
"Do you want help with those?" Amber offered, standing as well to join him in the kitchen. "It'll be faster if we both do it."
William’s gaze went towards her.
“I feel like making you wait a little,” he said. “Just for the heck of it.”
Amber chuckled and shook her head slowly. "Babe, you're the one who was so desperate for it. If anything, I'm making you wait."
“Fair enough,” William shrugged, though he couldn’t deny the warmth that spread through him. He was desperate. For her. And definitely not in the dirty way. Would there be a time when he wouldn’t be? “Let’s work together, then.”
"Sure," Amber hummed, moving to stand beside him. "You wash while I dry?"
“That works,” William nodded before he began, passing over to Amber when he was one with one.
When they were finished, he dried his hands and looked at Amber right in the eyes. “So. I believe there was something promised to me after eating?”
Amber blinked up at him, smiling innocently as she leaned against the counter. "Was there? Sorry, dear, you might have to remind me what, exactly, that was."
William stepped closer until he had Amber pressed against himself and the counter, hands on either side of her. He cocked his head to the side, tongue sliding across his lips. “I believe it had something to do with our mouths and my tongue and teeth.”
Amber blinked, feeling her cheeks warm up at his proximity and his words. "Ah, right… I seem to remember that, now," she breathed, fiddling with the hem of his shirt. "And what were you planning on doing with that?"
William’s eyes flickered to her fingers on his shirt before they went back her eyes, her flushed cheeks. It was working, both on her and him. “I plan on giving us what we both want.”
"Then go ahead, hun. Please, do so," Amber murmured, her other hand moving to the side of his neck and just resting there.
At first, William did nothing. He just continued to stare at her—at the beautful blush on her cheeks, at her eyes peering through her eyelashes. Then he licked his dry lips, leaned down and firmly clasped their lips together.
The hand on William's neck found its way into his hair, and Amber buried her fingers in his light locks. She pressed back against him, her lips moving with his. She could feel her heart already speeding up, pounding in her chest.
William hands made their way to her waist, lips still connected as he hoisted her up on the counter. He raised his head, keeping their mouths locked and pressed harder against her, holding her so she wouldn’t fall back.
She was like a drug, William concluded. The more he kissed her, the more he wanted her. She was like an addiction he didn’t think he could ever erase, not that he wanted to. So he kissed her, let her feel what he felt in this moment.
Amber made a soft sound as she was lifted into the counter. She wrapped her legs around him when she was up, leaning even closer to him and causing there to be even less space between them than there was before.
If she could just kiss him like this forever, she would be content. More than content, in fact. She’d be in complete ecstasy with their lips locked tightly, firm but gentle against each other.
Hearing the sound escape her mouth, William felt his blood boil. Her voice sent shivers down his spine, and when she wrapped her legs around him—William decided to halt the thought right there. He was perfectly satisfied with staying in this position, to kiss her tenderly and drive her senseless.
His hand reached up to cup her cheek, thumb rubbing circles on the warm skin and he used his hand to pull her face closer if that was even possible. He never wanted to pull away. He just wanted to stay right here, in her hold, pressed against her.
And that thought shook him to the core. He realized just how dependant he had become on this beautiful, intelligent, one-of-a-kind woman.
Amber pulled away for a moment to catch her breath, resting her forehead against his. Her tongue flicked out to wet her swollen lips before she bumped her nose against his playfully.
“William…” she breathed, opening her eyes a little to look at him. Her eyes roamed his face for a moment before she leaned back in and reconnected their lips.
William nearly growled when she pulled away from him, but held back when she bumped their noses together. And then his name slipped out from her mouth and this time, he didn’t hold back the growl. He loved hearing his name from her tongue. He loved the shiver that went down his spine when she did.
And when she reconnected their lips, fire danced in his body; he held her tighter and whispered her name.
”Amber…”
Amber groaned at the growl and her name slipping from his lips. She took his lower lip between her teeth, tugging on it gently. The things he did to her…. It was like she’d been waiting her whole life for him, and now that she finally had him, she couldn’t be happier.
William retaliated, pulling away just to bit down on her lip, tongue moving across, demanding entrance. He was melting into her, William realized, but he also knew where was nowhere else he would rather be.
“Amber,” he groaned her name again, voice slick with need and want. He spoke her name as if it was something valuable—which it was. ”Amber.”
His Blue. His treasure, his jewel.
Then he pulled apart, gasping for breath, forehead resting on her shoulder as he collected his bearings.
Amber panted slightly when William pulled away, her lips parted and her eyes still closed. She could feel her blood pulsing through her veins, hot and throbbing under her skin.
“Gosh, Will…” she breathed, turning to rest her head against his.
William breathed heavily, vision hazy, mind completely blank. This was completely out of his control. The effect she had on him…
“You certainly know how to get to a man, don’t you?” William rasped out, lips still pulsing. He was relieved—relieved that this wasn’t a moment where they kissed briefly with no strings attached. He wouldn’t have survived if it was.
“Only you, William Jones. Only you,” Amber murmured, saying much the same thing to him as he had to her not long ago.
“Good,” William breathed out. “Only me. Don’t let anyone else touch you like this.”
Amber shook her head slowly. “Never. I would never. I only want you, Will. No one else.”
William’s eyes softened, the storm in his body raging at her words.
Yes. Only me. No one else.
“The same is for me,” he kissed the skin below her ear. “No one except for you. Never anyone else.”
“Good,” Amber breathed, feeling the spot where he’d kissed her burning. She let out a slow breath, trying to get her heart rate back to normal. Yeah… Like that was going to happen so soon afterwards…
After a few minutes of staying in that position, William moved, holding on to Amber tightly as he carried her to the couch. He sat down, not loosening his hold on her as he made both of them comfortable.
“Perfect,” William breathed out as he looked at her. Swollen lips, hair messed up, blush on her cheeks, the dazed look in her eyes. “Absolutely perfect.”
