Jay walked over and viewed the large horse, “So how do I get on?”
Jay walked over and viewed the large horse, “So how do I get on?”
“Have you never ridden a horse before?” Dorian raised a brow.
Jay shook his head, “No, I’ve only cleaned them before.”
“Okay, I’ll help you,” Dorian places his hands on Jay’s waist gently, “Place your left foot on the stirrup,” He instructed, “And place your hands on the top of the saddle.”
Jay did as told and waited for further instructions.
“On three, jump and swing your right leg over the horse, okay?”
Jay quickly nodded and did it, he tightly gripped the saddle making sure he didn't fall off, "O-okay I'm on…"
“Good,” Dorian quickly climbed on afterwards, “Hold on tight.” He grabbed the reins and kicked Knox into motion.
Jay did, he lurched forward when they started to move but he regained his balance still nervous of being caught or falling off
Dorian half wrapped his arms around Jay to keep him steady as the horse flew threw the darkness, missing trees left right and center. Hopefully the inn would be open.
Jay watched through the darkness as they skimmed past trees. Jays hands were shaking and tightly holding on to the saddle
Luckily, the town wasn't too far away, and the two were only riding for about twenty minutes were they came into town. Dorian slowed down once they entered the gates.
Jay looked at the town from his seat upon Knox and smiled, it was a very pretty town.
Lights were strung up between the houses and shops, illuminating the streets so the few people out could see. Eventually, they came up to an inn, Dorian climbing down first then holding Jay by the waist, lifted him down.
Jay blushed slightly and leaned up against Dorian, wrapping his arms around him. He got to the ground and turned to look around some more.
The inn seemed pretty nice. Lights illuminated the windows and a few people were sitting by a fire inside. Dorian quickly took Knox and tied him up in a small stable before taking Jay's hand and leading him inside.
Jay held on and quickly followed him, unsure what else to do, "This place seems nice." He said quietly smiling slightly.
"It is, the owner is nice, too." Dorian opened the door for Jay.
Jay walked in smiling at Dorian, “Thanks.”
"You're welcome," He replied, taking his hand again and leading him to the bar. The bartender was an elderly man who smiled at Dorian and Jay.
"Dorian, what brings you here?" He asked, raising a brow at their intertwined hands.
"We need a room for a couple nights, maybe just one if that's okay, Arthur?" Dorian replied and Arthur nodded.
"Of course, you know where the rooms are."
Jay blushed at the mans look as he followed Dorian to a room. It had one bed in it, a shower, dresser, and a small kitchenette.
"I'm sorry this happened to you…" Dorian said quietly as he washed off the blood on this face.
“No, it was my choice to dance with you, so it’s fine.”
"No, it's not fine. You got hurt because of me, Jay, that is not fine. I should have protected you better."
Jay sighed and hugged him from the back, “It’s not your fault, please don’t think it is…”
Dorian turned around and hugged him back, "Too late, I already do."
Jay snuggled against his chest, “You’re an idiot…” Jay was tired, he yawned, “Lets get in bed.”
“Good idea.” Dorian replied, kissing his forehead as he led them over to the bed.
Jay smiled and sat down on the bed, stretching. Then he flopped onto his back with a sigh, “God…I’m so tired…”
Dorian chuckled quietly, "Me too." He crawled onto the bed and laid down before bringing Jay close to his chest.
