“Enjoy your alone time, Blue,” William have her a Cheshire grin. “Please, don’t try to barge into the bathroom this time. I much prefer my privacy.”

“Ugh… I hate you,” Amber sighed, shaking her head as she pushed herself up and off the couch.
William threw his head back and laughed, more so to spite Amber, and a little out of amusement. He walked into his room to grab his clothes before he entered the bathroom, thankful to get rid of the sweat from today’s match.
Four days. In four days, he would make her his.

Before the game, William gave his jacket to Amber again. Like he did in the previous games, he barely gave her time to slip her arms in before he’d zip her up and pull the hood over her head.
He walked back to the team, his members looking worried, but mostly excited.
“We should do something if we win against them,” Jude said nervously. “Oh, if we win, Holden finally asks out Juniper.”
The mom of the group tried to refuse, but the team’s cheer drowned his voice.
“I’ll treat you all to dinner,” Drew cut in before the members could propose anything for him. “Barbecue.” Nobody even refused.
“I might end up planning a little trip for all of us after this tournament,” Parker shrugged like a lazy cat. “If we win, of course.”
All eyes turned to him.
“What about you, Flower Boy?” William scowled at the nickname. “What do you have to motivate us into winning?”
William actually considered something. He furrowed his eyes before an idea came to mind.
“If we win… I’ll kiss the woman I like,” he tilted his head. “I’m sure all of you would like to see her, wouldn’t you?”
Nobody objected.
Amber had huffed and struggled to get her arms through the sleeves after William had caged her in the jacket. You’d think it would be easy with something two or three sizes too big…
After she had finally stuck her arms through the holes, she made her way over to the bleachers. She sat down and watched the game, cheering William on. As he’d instructed her during one of the other games, she kept her eyes on him. And only him.
They won. Barely managed to do it, but they won. Though they had been sweating and breathless at the end of the game, the second Crystal was announced as the victor, William’s team roared with victory. The entire venue burst out into cheer for his team and William grinned, though his heart had been beating fast the second the game was over.
“All right then, guys,” Parker turned towards Holden and William. “Do go on. We’re waiting.”
William merely snorted before he turned around, crossing the field to get to the bleachers. To his woman. His eyes easily found Amber, and the flames inside of them danced.
They’d won. Of course they had. Amber had had no doubts otherwise.
Now, after the game was over, she was standing and talking to one of her friends from her drama class last semester. They’d just started a conversation about what they hoped would happen next semester in the next class, hoping that they would end up in the same class.
William furrowed his eyebrows as Amber began to talk to a bunch of people instead of coming to him. He shook that irritation away. He was not her boyfriend.
Yet.
He dragged his feet towards her, glaring at the back of her head, daring her to turn around so he could claim her in front of everyone else.
Amber could feel someone looking at her. She ignored it for a few minutes, but when it didn’t stop, she finally turned around.
William was stalking toward her, looking like he was on a mission. He looked determined to do something, but what was that?
“William? What are you—“
Grabbing her by her arm, William yanked Amber towards him, a hand at the back of her head to keep her in place as he brought his mouth down on hers. Five days since he had last kissed her. Five days without her warm lips. He gave her no warning, not even a single second to protest as he kissed her both gently and fiercely. He’d chosen her.
He would always choose her. And the day she had worn his jacket with his name on it, she had been his.
(This makes me so happy GO WILLIAM)
Amber froze in shock when William pulled her into the kiss. She kissed him back softly for a moment before pulling back. Her eyes blinked open slowly. When had she closed them?
“William… What…?” she breathed, looking up at him in confusion.
(Yesssssss)
William shot her a lazy, tired smirk, his hair sticking to his forehead. He assumed he looked a lot messy, but he didn’t care. Not when she was looking at him like this.
“I promised those guys,” he breathed out, pointing towards his teammates who looked at them with their mouths open. “That I would kiss the girl I like if we won. And I also promised the girl I like I would give her my answer in four days. So, Blue, that was my answer.”
Amber blinked up at him, her mouth falling open slightly at his words. He liked her. He actually liked her. She wasn’t just delusional or wishing it was so. He liked her.
She let out a breathy laugh and shook her head. “You idiot,” she muttered before pulling him back down into a hard kiss.
William grinned against her lips before he snaked his arms around her waist, pulling her closer as he kissed her back, eyes falling shut as he felt her mouth move against his.
“Well, if I’m an idiot, then what can we say about you?” William muttered between the kiss, one of his hands reaching up to rest at the back of her neck, pushing her mouth harder against him.
“I’m the genius,” Amber declared with a small grin against his lips. “Now shut up and kiss me.”
“Some genius you are,” William pulled away to snort, teasing her before he obeyed, capturing her lips again into a gentle kiss just like the ones they had always shared.
This time, the warmth exploded through him entirely. He felt something rage inside of him and William knew he would have never felt this with any other woman. It was Amber, and it would always be Amber. His Blue, the one who feared him but accepted his faults. The woman who didn’t flinch away from him from fear. The woman who opened her heart to him.
And William be damned if he let anyone touch even a hair on her, even if it was himself.
Amber crinkled her nose before lifting a hand to cup his cheek. She let her other arm loop around his neck, holding him close as she kissed him back.
This was what she wanted. She wanted William. His kisses. His embraces. His smile. His laugh. His everything… She just wanted him.
William panted heavily when he pulled away, staring deeply into Amber’s eyes—the eyes he loved to see. The eyes that shimmered in warmth and happiness and eyes that were his. Suddenly, it was as if everyone else had vanished. It was just him and his woman, locking lips, exchanging feelings. Just them.
“Amber,” her name rolled off of his tongue so smoothly. He loved the feeling of it. He loved her name. Why had he never called her by it before? It was a beautiful name worthy of a fiery female. “Will you be mine?”
Amber shivered slightly at the way he said her name, like it was something precious and perfect and priceless. None of the other guys she'd ever been with had ever said it that way.
"What do you think, William?" she chuckled softly. "Of course I will."
“Well,” William gave her a rather wicked grin. “The way you’re holding on to me despite the sweat on me tells me just fine, but I still wanted to hear it from you.”
He tightened his hold on her as if chaining her to him—as if he was preventing her from pulling away. He kissed her again, lightly, gently, treating her with care. He handled her like she could break, though he knew just how strong she was.
Amber crinkled her nose slightly as she realized he was right. He was very sweaty, and it was rather gross… But she didn't really want to let him go at the moment…
"You're impossible," she sighed against his lips. "We should go home, and then you can shower and we can cuddle on the couch or something…"
“They’re going to act like prissy brats if I leave them like that,” William murmured, his lips barely touching hers. “But I think it would be quite amusing. Let’s go home? I’m exhausted and I think I’ll collapse on you.”
"I think you'd crush me," Amber breathed over his lips, her's brushing his lightly as her breath fanned over his mouth.
William chuckled against her mouth, eyes half closed, tempting to claim it again. He would wait until they were home, where there weren’t a thousand eyes staring. “We wouldn’t want that, now would we?”
Amber smiled a little, chuckling softly with him. "No, no we wouldn't… But I would still like to go home and do this. C'mon. Let's go."
William snaked his right arm around her shoulders, one of her hands in his hold, fingers linked together as he pulled her close. He kissed her on the cheek, reveling the feeling of her. “Let’s go, then.”
"My car or yours? Or both?" Amber wondered, a wide grin on her face she she looked up at him.
