She nodded and waited until the top bubbled, flipping it over with a little bit of patience and a smile, "See? These are easy."
She nodded and waited until the top bubbled, flipping it over with a little bit of patience and a smile, "See? These are easy."
He nodded "Yeah, I normally don't cook much. When I do, everything comes out burnt or raw." He said with a laugh, remembering the time when his mother tried to teach him to cook instead of having the chefs cook for him
"You just need to learn," She said, chuckling lightly and holding out the spatula for him to take, "Here, you can try making the next one."
He sighed softly and took the spatula from her "oh boy…"
She poked him in the side, "You'll be fine, it's not that bad." She smiled and watched the pancake, taking the spatula from him for a moment to take the pancake off the pan and set it on a plate before handing the spatula back to him.
He laughed "right, May I remind you I have never cook my adult life? Ever." He sighed and started twirling the spatula in his hand "I know how to do it, I just don't do it often."
"It'll be fine, I can help." She motioned to the batter and smiled, "First, pour some of the mix into the pan, not too much though."
He nodded, filling her instructions and pouring some batter into the pan, "more?" He asked, glancing down at the blob of batter in the pan
"A tiny bit," She pinched her fingers together to show him how much. Helping him cook seemed fun so far, she was fairly certain he just didn't have the right teacher when he was trying to be taught to cook.
He pouring in a little more "Alright," He glanced over at her to see if he was doing alright
She nodded, "That's perfect, now, we just wait for it to cook." She leaned against the counter and smiled at the pancake.
"I see you're getting very comfortable with ordering me around love," he said with a smirk, glancing over at her
She felt herself blush and she shook her head, "I get very bossy when I'm cooking, mostly because I'm used to showing newer cooks what to do."
He nodded and leaned in to kiss her before flipping the pancake "how's that?"
Avalin looked at the pancake and then kissed him again, "Perfect, see? You're a good cook."
He smiled "only with your assistance my dear."He sighed deeply "Now only to make 5 more."
She laughed lightly and held out her hand to take the spatula, "I can make the other ones if you want."
"I'll pour, you flip." he handed her the spatula and grabbed the batter, puoring out another spoonfull into the pan
"That sounds like a good plan," She smiled and waited for the new pancake to cook before flipping it and waiting for the other side.
While waiting for the pancake to cook, Loki busied himself by setting up the table. He waved his hand Over the table, conjuring a white cloth, some glasses and silverware and a few flowers in the center. Nodding in satisfaction, he grabbed some plates and headed back to the kitchen
She hummed softly to herself as she cooked, dancing in place and putting the cooked pancake with the others. She didn't notice him standing there and she poured another blob of batter.
His eyes glowed with affection as he watched her from the threshhold of the door. "And what song would that be my dear?" he asked, coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist, swaying in place with her
She squeaked and looked up at him, continuing swaying, "It's an old folk song..I learned it when I was quite young." She flipped the pancake before wrapping her arms back around him the best she could.
He breathed a laugh and kissed her cheek "don't stop." he begged quietly.
She smiled and nodded, starting to hum again lightly as she watched he pancake cook.
He closed his eyes in content and idly started to lightly stroke her arms with a light touch
She shivered from the touch and unwrapped her arms from around him, taking the pancake off the pan and pouring the last one to cook before wrapping her arms back around him the best she could.
He nuzzled into her hair and looked fowards, lost in thought
"What are you thinking about?" She asked softly, tilting her head back to look up at him, seeing that he was thinking.
He blinked, breaking his thoughts "how much mother would have loved you. And how much father would have resented me more for taking a Lower class woman as my queen." He shrugged "I can't make everyone happy, even if they are dead."
