She curtsied in response. "That I am. Is he home?" Her voice was quiet, she really didn't like talking to new people.
She curtsied in response. "That I am. Is he home?" Her voice was quiet, she really didn't like talking to new people.
"Why yes, he's-"
"Bella! Lizzy! Bring me my glasses I need them to see!" Two giggling girl came running round the corner, followed by Dorian who was trying to look mad. Key word, trying. The two girls hid behind Fiona and Dorian skidded to a halt.
"Fiona! Welcome back," He grinned at her before placing his hands on his hips, looking like an annoyed mother, "Give. them. back."
"No!" They said in unison.
She couldn't help but giggle. "Hello Dorian. Having little sister problems? I have two of my own, I know the feeling." She twisted to look at the younger girls behind her.
The two younger girls looked like spitting images of Dorian, only one of them had one blue eyes and one brown eyes, "Fiona, meet my sisters, Isabella," The one with two blue eyes waved, "And Elizabeth," the other waved, "They've been wanting to meet you."
She smiled a little and waved at the two. "Well hello." She turned her attention back to their brother. "Right, can I come in or am I just going to stand here?"
"Right, yes sorry," Dorian gave the two girl a look and they came back to him, Isabella handing over his glasses with a little giggle, "Please, follow me."
She shook her head with a smile before following him in, quickly kissing his cheek as a small greeting before glancing away. "I didn't actually expect to see you so soon after last night."
Dorian chuckled, slipping the pair of black rimmed glasses on his face, "I did. Maybe not as soon as this but I did expect to see you soon."
"I didn't know you wore glasses." She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. "You look cute with them on."
Dorian blushed and looked down at his feet, "I only wear them sometimes, generally when I've been awake all evening and my eyes are tired… or when I'm working." He shrugged.
"I know that feeling. But I don't wear glasses." She smiled a little and shrugged. "But at least my eyesight is better than yours." She teased.
Dorian gasped dramatically, "I am wounded," He grinned with a small shake of his head, "Be glad you don't have to wear glasses."
"I am glad! Both of my sisters and one of my brothers has to wear glasses and they hate them." She laughed.
Dorian chuckled with her, "Anyway, is there anywhere in the house you'd like to go? Or maybe we could go for a ride?"
"I've got nothing I can think of. So exploring the great outdoors it is."
"Wonderful." Dorian led them towards the gardens where the stables lay.
She had done horseback riding since she was a child, she was comfortable with this. She smiled a little, watching him out of the corner of her eye.
Dorian hummed a soft tune a little later during the walk, ceasing it when they came to the quite large stables, "My real home…"
"It's a beautiful stable, I will admit." The one at her own home was much smaller but then again, not as many people in her family liked to ride horses besides herself.
"Wait until you see the horses." The grin on his face couldn't be wiped away no matter how hard anyone tried today. Taking her hand, Dorian led her inside, "Pick any and they're yours for today, except Knox." He pointed to a black mare towards the back of the stables.
She noticed a beautiful while mare with big brown spots on her hair that looked so sweet. "That one." She pointed to her, her heart knowing this was the horse.
Dorian smiled softly, "Wonderful." Quickly, he called for somebody to saddle up the horses and they did so swiftly.
She glanced at him slowly and smiled. "There's the smile I love so much."
Dorian went slightly pink at that, "I didn't think you liked my smile."
"Oh but that's where you're wrong." She kissed his cheek gently. "Why would you think that?"
Dorian shrugged, pushing his glasses up his nose, "Well, I don't like my smile, I don't know why anybody else would."
She gasped dramatically. "I feel attacked! Your smile is beautiful and I wish I saw it more often and that is final." She ended it with a small huff just to end her statement.
Dorian chuckled, running a hand through his hair before pressing a light kiss to her cheek, “Then I’ll smile more often, just for you.”
"Good!" She blushed bright red but ducked her head to try to avoid him seeing. She didn't know why, she was just an extremely shy person that didn't really show her emotions to other people.
Too cute. Dorian looked like he was about to say something else but right then, the horses were ready to go, “Shall we?”
