"At least you have the shortest part. But still, it's got the most bravo near the end. As long as you don't choke, you'll do great."
"At least you have the shortest part. But still, it's got the most bravo near the end. As long as you don't choke, you'll do great."
"Yeah. But you do most of the work, so the credit belongs to you. Anyways, it was you that forced me into performing tonight, so that deserves credit as well." Melanie sighed with a light shrug. "You ready to go up there?"
"No, Sav needs to finish her song," Cherry replied. "And if I didn't force you up there, you'd never get anything done."
"Shush, Cherry!" Melanie shoved her lightly. "You know how I'm shy! You've somehow dealt with it, too…"
"I'm not shy because I'm trying to make up for it. I was always too shy to speak up about my dad, but now I'm trying to get out there."
"Yeah. And I'm just socially awkward with people I don't know." Melanie rolled her eyes and smiled. "I don't understand how you get me to do stuff, is all. You just…do it. I don't know, it's hard to explain."
Cherry smiled. "I think it's because you love me," She joked.
"Mhm. Sure… Maybe it's because you've never given up on me? And I can't help but love that?" Melanie smirked, lightly shoving Cherry.
Cherry lightly shoved back, smiling. "Your explanation is better."
"Yours is more simple. Easier to say, less time to say it." Melanie poked Cherry in the gut jokingly.
Cherry pretending to be winded, doubling over and falling to her knees. "Woe is me!" She said.
Melanie couldn't help but burst out in laughter. She poked Cherry again for effect. "Dead yet? Do I get to kill Cherry so I can just not perform anymore? Yay!"
Cherry jumped back up and pretended to attack Melanie. "You will never kill me! I'm immortal!"
"Ahhh! I'm dead!" Melanie fell to the floor dramatically and faked death. "And I'm taking you with me!" Melanie grabbed Cherry's lower leg, slightly tugging Cherry towards her.
Cherry didn't move. "Bitch please. I have stamina. You're not taking me down that easy."
"Aw…you suck!" Melanie yanked harder, using both of her hands. "Now die!"
Again, Cherry didn't budge. "You're kinda pathetic right now."
Melanie scowled, pouting slightly. "Fine." Melanie hopped up, her pout replaced with a soft smile.
Cherry learned over and kissed the pout off Melanie's mouth.
Melanie grinned, a slight blush coming to her cheeks. "You suck, but I love you, goddammit."
Cherry smiled, then leaned over forwards as Sebastian leaned on her back.
"You two are just…weird," Melanie said, pointing at the two. "I would ship it if I weren't in an everlasting relationship with Cherry."
"And you would ship it, except I'm gay and I already have a partner," Seb answered.
"Yep. So back away from Cherry. Before I make you." There was both a mix of teasing and seriousness in Melanie's voice. She knew Sebastian meant no harm, but the way he was near Cherry…she didn't feel comfortable about it.
"No. You can't tell me what to do. We've been best friends since in the womb. You're not interfering with that," Seb said, eyes piercing.
"As long as you stay best friends, we're good. If you try anything I won't hesitate to tear you limb from limb…or at least try to." Melanie shrugged, knowing fully well that she couldn't do such a thing.
"Of course we'll stay as just best friends. I'm gay remember. Besides. It's obvious that it will be the other way around."
"Shut up, Seb." Melanie rolled her eyes. "Are we good to go, Cherry? Or do you want to spend more time with your 'boyfriend?'"
"Don't be like that, Melanie," Cherry said. "I know that I'm always spending time with him but I've known him longer than you. And frankly, I trust him more. But that's just how it is."
"I know, I'm only joking. I guess I shouldn't bring that up in the future, then…sorry." Melanie's hand found the back of her neck.
