Hey!

Heya, how goes it?

I'm OK, ig, got hooked on Welcome to Night Vale.
How're you?

@Cloudy_is_trying_her_best

Hey!! I'm ignoring doing my homework right now, so I'll kinda be able to talk off and on for a while.

also if anyone was wondering I did follow your advice and got the caffeine levels to a tolerable level, thank you again

@The-Magician group

For the past few days I've been hearing my name. Like, I'll just be listening to music, or talking to a friend in class, and I'll hear my name get called. It started with me thinking my mum called my name when I was in my room the other day, then on Tuesday when I was sat alone in a train carriage, then today when I was in class, then just a moment ago. But there's no one there, no one is there but someone keeps saying my name!!
And then there's the paranoia that someone is watching me through the window behind me, that someone is always watching me when I'm in public. I almost fell over when walking to the train station today because I thought I walked into a person but when I looked back there was no one there!
Someone, or something, is watching me, I know it!!

Holy fuck Lee. I get that, and I really hope it stops for you! I know exactly what that's like.

@Cloudy_is_trying_her_best

You know what's weird? Sometimes I get the same thing. Like I'll be walking down a crowded hallway and suddenly hear my name and then…nothing. Nobody's even looking at me. Maybe it's just something people's brains do? Either way, it sucks and I hope it stops for you at least.

I get the same thing!! It'll be the middle of the night and I'll hear it, but at the same time I heard nothing….
It's happened everywhere, On parade, in school, in the middle of the night, when I've got headphones in to watch netflix or listen to music…
It always feels like it's my mom calling me, and I'm pretty sure it's just a random reflex my brain has…

This has been happening to me for years. Since I was 9, 13 now, and it still freaks me out

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I don't get it very often, but most of the time when I do it's just my mom calling one of my sister's names (Because SOMEONE thought it would be a good idea to give all of her daughters extremely similar 4-letter names ending in A… looks at my mom)

@ravens

so uh I'm in class atm and Owen saw I was on here and he's like "wait you're still on that" and I said "yeah" and he's like "you making new friends?" and I said "yeah" again and tHEN I said "I still don't understand" (click here for reference) and he didn't say anything and im still so fucking confused help

Okay so I did some research and I have three answers. One is scientific, the other two deal in spiritual stuff. The scientific one is that it could be an auditory illusion. Pretty straightforward I guess. The other two are that it's a spirit trying to communicate with you and the other is that it's a succubus(look it up–not if you're on a school device tho). I personally don't believe the last two, but I figured I'd share them anyway. Don't know if this helps or not XD

Welp, if you have my search history, looking up a succubus doesn't matter at this point. I've had to look up incubi, drugs, murder, my uncle, and more. All for writing, though, I swear.

Honestly the auditory illusion thing makes sense. My mom calls me randomly at all hours of the day and it's been that way for years. So me being somewhere where that can't happen and having it happen makes sense. It's probably just my brain going "Oh! Mom should be calling!" randomly when she shouldn't be.
