"Trust me It's not" said Silver padding to a stop on solid ground.
"Trust me It's not" said Silver padding to a stop on solid ground.
Aurelius sighed.
"Hey, I've had a lot of fun with you tonight. Today was pretty terrible, but truly, you made everything better."
Silver smiled, "that's exactly what I was going for" he said.
“Well, you’ve done it,” Aurelius said.
He moved a hand up to Silver’s head and stroked just behind his ears, where the fur was very soft.
Silver sighed, ears flicking back, "Don't. you. Dare. Stop."
“Ah, I’m sorry…” Aurelius replied, a little taken aback, “Anywhere else bother you, or just there?”
"Keep doing it!" protested Silver, "I said Don't stop!"
Aurelius grinned and rubbed behind his ears again.
“Oh, so you like that?”
He laughed.
“I’m glad.”
Skye sighed, a low growl of enjoyment rumbling in his throat.
Aurelius leaned down and buried his face in Silver’s thick fur, still scratching him behind the ears.
Silver carefully lay down beneath the other, growling in pleasure and contentment.
“Hm, and here I was thinking I already knew all your weaknesses,” Aurelius murmured.
"The ears are almost always a weakness" sighed Silver, relaxing underneath Aurelius weight.
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Aurelius replied. “You’re so warm… I could just sleep here…”
He nuzzled up a little closer.
"Don't you dare stop scratching now….." said Silver softly, adjusting his position a little.
“I’m not,” Aurelius replied dazedly.
He still stroked Silver’s fur, but his motions were slow and tired.
Silver sighed, relaxed under Aurelius movements.
Aurelius eventually stopped talking as he brushed his hand through the fur. His movements slowed, almost halting entirely as he had fallen into a shallow sleep.
Silver moved slightly to look back at the other, sighing he carefully got to his paws, moving slowly back to camp under the moonlight.
Aurelius drowsily opened his eyes once they were in the camp and Silver had stopped moving entirely.
“Huh…? Oh, we’re back already?”
Silver looked back, "Mmmhmm" he said, "Did'ja have a good nap?" he asked teasingly, slipping into an empty tent.
"Yeah, I'm more surprised I actually stayed asleep while being carried," Aurelius admitted.
His voice was a little hoarse, and he was still very groggy and slow-moving.
"You were tired," said Silver calmly, "It's understandable, plus you're even cuter now."
Aurelius laughed. "Yeah? I'm glad you think so…"
He yawned. He was so warm, a lot of blood had rushed to his face, tinging his cheeks and ears pink.
Silver shifted, resulting in Aurelius being curled up in Silver's arms bridal style. Silver smiled when he saw the other's face, "beautiful" he said.
Aurelius' eyes grew wide when he realized he was in Silver's arms.
"M-me…?"
"Well of course you" said Silver, "Want down?" He asked, adjusting his grip a little.
"Yes, please," said Aurelius, trying to get down.
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"What does this make us?" he asked softly.
Silver let him down carefully, "Hmm… that depends on what you want" he said, eyes searching his.
He laughed.
"Gods, I don't know… I definitely want to spend more time with you," Aurelius replied, "But I'm cautious, you know? I'm inexperienced at this point, and part of me fears it's just me being desperate for affection."
