“Free skydiving!” He chuckles, “Not really,” he places his hand next to Kais thigh, not quite touching him. “But, at least I’d go down doing what I love, you know?”

Kai looked down at his hand and flushed just a little, "Yeah… I guess you're right. I could never fly a plane, I'd freak too easily."

“What’s your thing then? If planes aren’t it” Cas asks, “What’s your dream thing?”

Kai shrugged a shoulder, biting his lip in thought, "I never really… thought about it, before," He muttered, "Maybe art?"

“Art?” Cas scoots a bit closer, “Do you paint, or draw, or is it a different fine art?”

Kai chewed on the end of his sweater for a few moments, "I paint…" He whispered.

“You do?” Cas blinks and hums for a moment, “Well, could I see some of your paintings?”

"Um… s-sure. When do you want to see them?" Kai looked over at Cas.

“Shoot, I’m free whenever,” Cas says and smiles, “Now, tomorrow, whenever you want!”

"How about tomorrow afternoon, w-when I finish school?" Kai bit his lip.

“Sure thing!” Cas feels a small buzz like feeling in his stomach, “that sounds great”

Kai smiled, "G-Great. Um, my school's not too far from here, about five minutes that way." He pointed.

Cas looks to where he’s pointing. “Fantastic! That’s close enough to remember where it’s at!”

Kai nodded, a soft sigh escaping him, "Yeah… it's not hard to miss so you'll find it easily."

“You like going there?” Cas asks, tilting his head.

He opened his mouth to say something, before shutting it with a small pout, looking away and shaking his head, "Not really."

Cas carefully places his hand over Kais, “Were you going to say something?”

Again, Kai shook his head, balling his free hand up in his sweater, "No, I wasn't. Don't worry about it."

“If you’re sure” Cas stands and brushes off his pants, “Well, I’ve got to get back to unpacking….same time tomorrow, huh?” He asks with a lopsided smile

Kai offered a small, shy smile back and nodded, "Yeah, same time tomorrow."

“Great,” Cas puts a hand on his shoulder before walking back towards his new apartment

Kai watched him go, his cheeks a little red before he reluctantly, headed back to his own home.

The next day oooo
Cas slowly got out of bed. He spent most of his day unpacking and generally doing busy work. When the day got late he found himself wandering back around town, he was in the middle of a phone call as he found his way to the park. He was on the phone with his father. He spent the entirety of the phone call mostly going “mhm,” and “sure”. He sighs and puts away his phone eventually. He looks around and walks towards the area of the park where he met Kai yesterday. He blushes slightly, Kai was really pretty, and sweet. He wondered how school was for him today. He didn’t seem to like it all that much.

Unfortunately for Kai, his day wasn’t great, as usual. Having an abusive home life, mixed with abuse from people at school doesn’t mix well and quite frankly, Kai was used to it at this point. The only good thing that happened in his day was having art class at the end of the day, and honestly it was the only reason why he still attended school and didn’t drop out. By the end of the day, he’d ended up with a couple more bruises to add to his growing collection, a small one on his cheek, too. His mind went to Cas and wondered if he’d actually show.

Cas slowly wandered around before coming up to the schoolyard and sitting on a bench there. He didn’t know what time the school got out, and hoped he didn’t come across as weird by waiting.

The school finished shortly after Cas sat down. Normal and moody teenagers came spilling out of the front doors, paying no heed to the man sitting on the bench. Kai came out nearer the end of the rush, a few hateful and homophobic comments being thrown his way as he spotted and walked towards Cas.

Cas waves, “Kai!” He shouts with a smile,

Kai gave a soft wave back, and a few people turned in his direction with a frown and he promptly lowered his hand, "H-Hey."

Cas turns and looks at the people before walking and standing beside Kai, “Hey!…what’s up with them?” He asks, guiding Kai away from the others

Kai balled his hands up in his jumper and sighed a little, "I-It's nothing, um, this way." He took Cas's hand and quickly led him back into the school towards the art classrooms.
