Silver watched him, swirling up a Lunas Aura storm, creating clouds of moths around them.
Silver watched him, swirling up a Lunas Aura storm, creating clouds of moths around them.
Aurelius tried to keep track of all the moths, but as they grew in number, all he could do was watch in wonder.
“Hah, what a show-off…” he whispered, grinning.
Silver smirked, "Frostas!" the clearing around them became alight with a silvery frost, the moths dancing around them, glinting as frost patterns formed on their wings.
“I stand by what I said,” Aurelius laughed.
He had been pretty tired before, but that was starting to fade some.
"What about you?" he asked, smirking like a devil.
“No, you. Show-off,” Aurelius teased, “Then again, it doesn’t look like you were trying to prove otherwise.”
"I don't get to show off much anyway" said Silver wryly, "The strength of my abilities depends on the moon" he gestured to the full moon in the sky. "Right now they're at a peak, so under the moonlight I can do just about anything I want."
“Well, I didn’t say I wasn’t enjoying every second of it,” Aurelius replied.
"Shall I show you something really cool?" he asked, trying not to let on just how hard he was trying to impress the other.
“Go for it,” Aurelius said.
The smile on his face only got wider.
(Idk how you hit it on the nose like this, but this boi has a thing for beautiful aesthetics)
(Dumb luck? Destined pairing? I don't know and I don't care! XD)
Silver shifted, "Get on then!" he said, stopping in front of Aurelius, tail flicking.
(Lmao I have to agree with that)
Aurelius pushed himself up onto Silver’s back.
“Alright, I’m on. What you gonna show me?”
"Hang on tight!" he said, sprinting an ice-ramp forming beneath his paws, guiding them a few feet up, at which point they were suddenly running on moonlight.
Aurelius let out the tiniest of gasps, in absolute awe.
“This is amazing…”
"This is one of the true powers of a Luna wolf!" cried Silver, exhilirated by the chance to use his abilities this way.
Aurelius was smiling and laughing and shouting into the empty night air. He somehow felt like a kid again.
Silver quickly took him higher and higher, feeling the exact same way he did.
As they drew higher, Aurelius felt a little uneasy, but he trusted Silver to keep him from falling.
"I… had no idea there was magic that could do this," he said breathlessly.
"There are a few other elemwnts, but none can do it as easily as a Luna Wolf." Said Silver, "Sometimes I wish I weren't a hybrid, so I could do this every night."
"But… but you're perfect as you are. So what, you can only do this occasionally? It only makes getting out here on a perfect night that much more amazing," Aurelius replied.
"Only on the Full or New moon…" said Silver quietly, starting a descent. "When my powers are strongest."
"Ah, my guy… You made it sound like the stars have to align perfectly- like a blue moon or a lunar eclipse or something!" Aurelius answered, "That's twice a month, for a couple of days, though."
"Two nights in a month, unless I want to pass out for a week and put up with a Migraine for three. " said Silver, "It only works under moonlight."
"I see. Well, if it makes you feel any better, my magic works best in a literal pitch-black environment, and not only does practically every place have some amount of light, but also if I'm doing cool tricks, no one can see anything," Aurelius replied.
"A nightshade wolf could probably see." Said Silver nonchalantly, "Though you do have a point."
"Wow. One very specific type of wolf can see my magic work in pitch black conditions!" Aurelius laughed, "The only time it would ever be helpful at all to use my magic in such conditions would be in a fight, but no one's stupid enough to initiate a fight in a place they can't see."
Silver laughed, "I know a guy who'd be stupid enough." He said.
Aurelius tilted his head.
"Oh really, now?"
"Just ask Alex. He'd be totally blind, and Arthur would probably join in!" Said Silver, laughing.
"Somehow, I knew that was going to be your answer," Aurelius said, "From the way you and Skye have described them, that doesn't seem out of character at all."
