He tilted his head, but was in the middle of the ocean at the moment. "Can you bring it to the island?"
He tilted his head, but was in the middle of the ocean at the moment. "Can you bring it to the island?"
Moko bobbed his head, flying up to perch on Runner's back.
He landed a few minutes later, switching to human for immediately.
Moko trotted up to Runner, the video player in his mouth. He peered up at Runner with large dog-like eyes.
He took it lightly from his mouth, fiddling with it for a moment to pull whatever she had filmed up.
It was a video of her singing that song, eyes closed and lost in the music as she swayed. She told of her past through the words of another, conveying her feelings without actually telling of them.
He frowned heavily as he watched, turning to Moko. "Is she still mad at me?"
Moko tilted his head, his large fox ears twitching. What do you think? he seemed to be saying.
He groaned, running a hand through his hair. She's gonna be. "What I'm really asking is if it's safe to go over there."
Moko bobbed his head, then flew up to Runner, perching on his shoulders. He started purring as he watched the video.
He rubbed his nose, sighing. The video ended, and he shut down the video player, handing it back to Moko. "Tell her I'll be there soon, alright?"
Moko stared at Runner with his large eyes.
He tilted his head. "What?"
He cooed, nudging Runner with his head and the video player.
"Do I need to film something too, or is there more?"
Moko's ears flattened, annoyed that Runner couldn't understand what he was trying to say. He hopped down, traded the video player for a stick, and started writing. 'Go'
"Oh, shit. Sorry. I owe you, like, a full pack of bacon." He dropped the camera and turned into a dragon again, flying faster than ever towards the house.
Moko perked up at the mention of bacon, then left the island for whatever realm of shadow he lived in when he wasn't there.
Tessa was gorging herself with casserole in the kitchen–Zeus was eating in his guest bedroom–feeling bad for her behavior and attempting to drown her sorrow in food.
Off in the distance, she could begin to see a grew and black blur, approaching rapidly. In a matter of 2 seconds, she was able to make out the whiskers on his face. In a matter of 5, he was standing on the balcony, hands on his knees and he gulped for breath.
She stared wide-eyed at Runner, mouth full of food and body frozen in place.
He wiped bead of sweat from his hairline, taking a step inside with a cough.
She swallowed her food, then ran over to Runner. She threw her arms around him. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted like that."
He hugged her back. "No need…Tasteless joke anyway…"
She shook her head. "I'm still in the wrong."
"Forget it, it's fine," he said, rubbing her back lightly.
"There's casserole on the counter if you want any," she said, unsure of what else to say.
He shook his head. "I'm fine right here."
She pressed her face against his chest, breathing in his unique scent. So am I…
"Who made the casserole?"
"Ali and Lydia. I ordered it."
