The cashier swiped the card and handed everything back to them. Tess sauntered out of the store. "Hmm. Gimme a hint?"

"Well, it has to do with nothing, and nothing."

She rolled her eyes. "You're such an ass."

He laughed. "I'm being serious."

"Okay, let's go with that." She was smiling as she spoke, entertained.

He tapped her on the nose. "You take things to seriously."

She snapped her teeth at him playfully. "We've already established this–and we agree to disagree."

"I agreed to nothing," he said, hip bumping her lightly.

She caught her balance and bumped him back. "Fine," she laughed. "I disagree with your statement, and you disagree with my disagreement. Shall we come to a truce and say to agree to disagree?"

He snorted. "We should agree that I'm right, but okay."

"Compromise, my dear boy. Compromise." She mimicked the accent of a high class posh person.

He snorted. "Am I carrying your bags for the whole day?"

She shrugged. "Why not?" She squinted at a large building up ahead. "The mall's right over there."

"Uhhhhggggg, okay." He looked behind him randomly, looking confused for a moment before looking back ahead.

She smirked and held out a hand. "Here, since you're so opposed to being a gentleman."

He instead opted to hold her hand.

She looked startled, then masked it with a smile as she walked closer.

"I guess it won't be that bad," he said, grinning over at her.

She smirked. "Oooh, I wouldn't say that. I might just drag you all over the mall."

"And I have no say in this?"

"Nope!" She said cheerfully, grinning up at him.

"Well, I do have these new running shoes, and I'm feeling pretty fast right now."

She snorted. "Go for it, road runner." she gestured to the mall entrance. "I'll race ya."

"You passed out last time we raced," he teased, still holding her hand.

"Ah, but I was a big ass dragon going as fast as my poor wings could take me. I have an advantage on the ground."

He shrugged. "Fair enough, fair enough." They reached the door, and Runner held it open for her.

"There's the gentleman," she teased, heading inside.

"Mhm," he said, hurrying back to her side and grabbing her hand again
