"Oh, c'mon, no need to get sappy right now. I mean, I got my ass beat so bad I can barely walk. I don't think I can deal with another woman crying on my shoulder," he joked with a smile.

Rhianon looked to him and smiled sadly. "Indeed. I brought you something." She reached into her cloak and brought out a large vial with a moss green liquid. "It is a healing elixir from one of the best healers in the Fae Kingdom. It will do you more good than me."
"Will it help my arm, too?"
"Yes."
He shrugged, taking it. "Thank you. For coming back."
She shrugged. "You asked me to, and this place's wards allow me in."
"I meant as a whole. To come find me." He looked like that 17 year old kid once again, peering over at his mother with those big hazel eyes.
Her unnatural features softened as she looked over at him. "I had come to my senses just enough to realize you needed at least one parent that would do their best to help you in life."
He rubbed his nose, sniffling slightly. "One of these days, we'll meet, and it won't turn into a sob fest. It'll just be a mom and son, meeting up, ya know?"
She smiled. "I look forward to the day." She leaned over and gently hugged him, mindful of his wounds. "I must go now. I do not think that Zeus will tolerate my presence for much longer."
He nodded. "You'll be back, right?"
She grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "Of course."
He smiled, sniffling again. "Okay," he said.
She pinched his cheek and wiped his tears away with a thumb, then she folded into her large black butterfly and flew out an open window.
He looked at the vital, then gripped it's base between his knees, uncorking it and gulping it down.
The elixir worked immediately, healing every wound he had in record timing.
Tess yelped as she was thrown against a wall. Zeus stalked towards her, his club-like tail swinging back and forth as he approached.
He cracked his knuckles, standing up and sighing in relief.
Tess saw Runner getting up and called a time out. Zeus stopped without protest, reverting back to his human form. Tess did the same and jogged up to Runner, grabbing him and spinning him around to inspect him. "You're looking good," she said.
"Yeah, feel a lot better, too." He looked down at his bloodied clothes. "Damn. I liked this shirt."
She chuckled. "I'm sure Zeus will lend you one. We can go shopping tomorrow. I need some new clothes anyway. My current ones are going out of style."
"What, you're gonna pick out clothes for me?" He smiled slightly
"If you have a horrible sense of fashion, then yes," she teased, poking his nose.
"Well, you've seen the way I dress."
"It's alright, I suppose." She winked.
Zeus coughed.
He smiled, glancing up at Zeus. "You got someone waiting on you."
Tessa rolled her eyes. "Insufferable, I tell you." She moved to Runner's side. "Zeus, this is Runner." Zeus rose his brows but said nothing. She swept a hand towards Zeus. "Runner, this is Zeus, my annoying older HALF brother."
Zeus smirked and sketched a bow. "A pleasure to meet Tessie's friend."
He looked down at her. "Only a friend?"
She gritted her teeth as she glared at her brother. "Zeus doesn't need to stick his nose into other people's business. So as far as he's concerned, yes," she said to Runner.
"Ah, yes, our little moment on the beach was just a gesture of friendship," he said with a grin.
She scowled at him. "You two will get along quite well."
