"Sure" she replied, walking over to him. It was hard not to fumble on her words around him at times, such as right now, when his eyes so perfectly reflected the sun outside and his skin seemed to shimmer. She shook her head, "Are you going to the party tonight? Considering it's the Friday before March break" she asked, hoping he'd be going.
Eliza nodded and started walking in the direction of their on campus Starbucks. He hadn't if he was going to anything there, maybe he would grab a bite to eat. He shrugged at her question. "Do you want me to go? So you won't be alone?" He asked, looking down at her. It was times that he stood next to her that he realized how short she was in comparison to him, he found it adorable
"Well, I was thinking we could grab some drinks and just, you know, hangout" she replied, looking down and her hands as she fiddled with the hem of her soft orange coloured crop top. She whined softly looking up at him again, her glossy lip tucked in her teeth. She had scars on the inside of her lip from the number of times she cut it from biting it. "Yes I want you to go, yes I'm lonely. Everyone's nice to the preppy girl but nobody wants to be real friends with her" she replied, laughing lightly as she bumped into him playfully.
(Oh no that's fine! Driving safely is always a better idea)
"Sounds good." Elias responded. He rested his hand on the small of her back as he walked beside her. Once they reached Starbucks, he opened the door fpr her and walked in after her. He pulled his wallet out of his pocket. "Get whatever you want, it's on me." He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "If you want me there, I'm there, always."
She smiled, looking up at the menu even though she was gonna get the same thing she always would. She was happy how close he was getting to her, even though she probably wouldn't stand a chance if he met any other girl at the party. He was attractive, oh god was he attractive. "Good" she hummed, placing her hand on her chest mindlessly when she turned to him like they'd be doing this for years.
Elias slid his hands into his pockets. He scanned to menu, looking at what there was too eat. He shrugged not finding anything appealing. "Are you ready to order yet?" He knew she was going to get her usual, so he wasn't sure why she bothered looking at the menu.
"Yes," she replied, him basically reading her mind. Another student pushed her out of the way, pushing her closer to Elias. Her breath hitched as she looked to him, her cheeks pinkening as her hand flattened on his chest. Once the other student was out of the way she was still frozen.
Eloas reached his hands out to steady her when she got pushed into him. "Are you alright?" When she didn't respond, he waved a hand in front of her. "You still in here Sophia?" He asked, his voice laced with amusement.
She snapped away from her daze, smiling nervously. "Yeah" she replied, biting her lip harshly. "Just, close" she replied, not really wanting to move.
Elias ruffled her hair with a smile. He reluctantly stepped to the side once they got to the front of the line and let her order. He pulled out his debit card and handed it to Sophia.
She hesitantly took the card, already knowing the code. She smiled at the cashier, ordering before paying, getting Elias the coffee he normally ordered, knowing his order off by hand.
Elias took his card back once she paid and tucked it back into his wallet. He put it back in his pocket. He looked around the coffee shop. "Where do you want to sit?" He asked her.
"You choose" she replied, walking up next to him as he put his card in his pocket. Her gaze traced his body, noticing different about his stance. It could just be her though.
Elias took a seat in the corner, where it was less crowded. He wasn't particularly found of crowded places, besides the occasional club or party. He slung his arm across the chair beside him, stretching out slightly.
She took the seat across from him, taking a bite out of her breakfast. She looked up at him, smiling softly as she took a drink from her cup. "So, we just have to get through today and we'll be done for a week" she purred, covering her mouth as she chewed.
Elias nodded. "What are you planning on doing for the break? Going anywhere?" He asked. He brought his coffee to his lips and took a sip of it.
"I was planning on getting some studying done since everything is gonna be so quiet because everyone's away, " she replied, catching his gaze as she spoke and he sipped his coffee.
Elias took another sip before speaking. "We could go somewhere if you wanted. Anywhere, within budget of course." He added a small smile.
"That'd be nice" she replied, not really knowing where she'd want to go. She hadn't really thought of it up to this point, but she hadn't really ever been outside where she grew up.
Elias smiled wider. "Good. I expect you'll have found a place to go to by tonight, before the party, that way we can pack tomorrow and go." He finished his coffee.
"Alright, you're gonna have to help me though" she replied, finishing off her breakfast and taking another sip of her coffee as she held their gaze. She was excited about the party, she needed to drink a little because of all the things that had been going on lately.
"Do you want to go camping someplace? Or go on a road trip? Or is there anywhere particular you'd like to go or see?" Elias asked
"I like hiking, so someplace we could go hiking and then cliff diving would be cool. Someplace warm so we can be in the water" she replied, her eyes sparkling as she talked about it.
Elias smiled as he watched her. "So you want to go camping somewhere?" He asked. "I'm pretty sure there's a couple good national parks a few hours away. I can look into it."
