Sofia pulled on a huge black hoodie she normally wore during her night excursions and pulled on some black leggings and headed down. Everything was so quiet, and having no people to share the elevator with made her anxiety about the dark go away slightly. If there was anything she hated more than the dark was being in crowded, small spaces with strangers. She slipped out of the elevator, happy to see Elias' figure outside sitting on a bench. She walked over to him, sitting next to him. "It's cold out" she hummed, no real tone in her voice as she rested her head on his shoulder to try and see what he was reading from the dim light that lit the lobby and few meters away from them.

Elias didn't need to look up to see who approached him. He slipped an arm around her waist almost automatically. They had done it so many times that it was just an automatic response. It was their routine. His hand slowly rubbed her sides, an attempt to share some warmth. The cold didn't particularly bother him. He enjoyed it really. The cool breeze felt good against his warm skin. It wasn't unnaturally cold outside, not where it could snow, so he was fine. Though he did worry slightly for Sophia. He knew women were more prone to be cold. The amount of time his sister slid her freezing feet under him or decided it would be a good idea to put her cold hands on his neck. He sighed quietly. "We can go inside if you'd like, so you're not cold anymore. Or I could run up and grab a blanket for you." He murmured quietly, just loud enough so she could hear. It was one of those nights, he justed wanted to sit in silence.

"Nah, I'm fine. It's good cold, revitalizing" she replied, not really caring for small conversation at the moment. She looked out at the cityscape. It was quieter over on this part of the bustling streets, but the deafening honk of angry car horns and roar of engines in the distance still made their way to her ears. She played mindlessly with the fabric of his shirt, enjoying the sound of the few animals wandering about. She strained to read the book for a couple of seconds before giving up, letting her gaze shift back to the image of the city, the light of advertisements and hotel and campus rooms still turned on for the people that worked into the late hours of the night and early hours into the morning.

Elias nodded before focusing his attention on his poetry once again. At one point, his cheek ended up against the top of her head, her scent overwhelming his nose, but he liked it. He could smell the faint traces of her shampoo and the corner of his lips raised ever so lightly. He got to a point where he closed his book and set it beside him on the bench. He then wrapped his free arm around her. One of his hands slipped under her sweatshirt to caress her bare skin. All tenseness finally seeping out of him. He looked at their campus. It was so peaceful and quiet at night, though it wouldn't once the sun rose. So he soaked it in while he could. He shifted his head so instead of his cheek, his chin rested on top of her head.

She shivered slightly when his warm hand touched her bare, cold skin. She played with the hem of his shirt as she watched the blinking red and white lights of a plane passing by, not sure if it was landing or taking off. She felt him shift to put down him book his hand wrapped around her waist, a faint blush appearing across her face. She knew he probably didn't know or really care, but she had the smallest crush on him for a while now, and the small things he did like this made her almost giddy. She shifted slightly, moving closer to his body for heat and just to be closer to him in general. "What class do you have in the morning?" she asked casually, wondering if his class would remind her of what she had.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

("Smallest" don't kid yourself lol)

Eventually, his hand had come to rest, splaying against her bare stomach, his thumb slightly moving in a soothing movement. He lifted his chin off her head as she spoke. He looked down at her. "One of my writing classes. My poetry workshop. Why?" He asked. She didn't normally ask. They had different majors. They had never been in a single class together, except perhaps one of their basics, but he didn't know her back then. It wasn't until about a year or so ago before they were properly introduced. He noticed a strang of hair fallen out of place and his hand itched to tuck it back behind her ear, though he managed to keep it where it remained.

@Honeybee_

She tucked the strand of hair behind her ear again, melting into the warmth of his skin on her stomach, "I don't know, thought maybe I could walk you to class in the morning, or if you wanted to walk me that's cool too" she replied, looking up at him. Her eyes were a paler tone at this hour of the night, no sun for them to gather their colour from. Therefore, the multicoloured lights reflected among them, giving her a gaze that was hard to break.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias's brow raised in amusement. "Are you wanting me to walk you to class tomorrow morning Soph?" He asked her. He met her gaze. That little minx. She knew he couldn't resist her eyes. They were so unusual and different than anything he had ever seen. They had him captivated the first time he ever saw her. And now she used them to her advantage. He wanted to scowl but he never could, not to her. She was the one person who never deserved his attitude.

@Honeybee_

"Well now you're making me sound like a helpless fool" she replied, flicking his stomach lightly. She knew her eyes were a trick, but if he were to see his now she could see the entire world reflecting in them. She knew he'd be just as in love with them as she was. "Yes, I do" she admitted, looking down at his lap where the book used to be placed.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias laughed quietly. It was a deep and rich sound. It was rare. There was little in the world that made him happy enough to produce such a sound. "What time do we need to leave to make it to your class on time?" He knew he was going to give in the moment she asked. There was little he could tell her no too. Another thing he knew that she knew. She had him wrapped around her finger and he didn't mind a bit. He followed her gaze, to see what she was looking at. "Would you like me to read to you?"

@Honeybee_

"That'd be nice" she replied to his immediate question. She smiled softly and returned a small giggle. She heard his laugh often, even if it was only with her. She liked hearing it. His deep, rich voice mixed with a hint of joy nobody got much of these days made her heart melt. A thing he didn't know was how much she was wrapped around his finger, everything about him made her eyes sparkle. "We'd have to leave around 7;30ish to make it to my 8;15 am class," she replied to her former question, remembering she had English in the morning every Friday.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"Am I correct to be assuming we'll be stopping for coffee and I'll be the one paying?" Elias questioned, eyebrow raised. He reached for his poetry book, consequently having to remove one of his arms from Sophia. He grabbed his book and flipped through the pages until he reached where he had left off. He then scanned through them, trying to find the least depressing poem in his book. He pulled his bottom lip in between his teeth, messing with his lip ring.

@Honeybee_

She pressed the top of her tongue to her mouth where she could feel her tongue piercing when he moved his hand from her waist. Shivers went down her spine as her eyes scanned through the book, her hand pressing down on a page with a longer poem written onto it. "It this one good?" she asked, biting her lip as well as a small but strong gust of wind, blew her hair back, making a few pieces of her hair come out of her bun.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias looked over the poem she had stopped him on. He looked over it. "I think they are all 'good' in their own ways. But I am not sure you will like this one that much. It has a darker tone than you're used too." He spoke quietly. There was no need to raise his voice any louder than a murmur. It was just the two of them, alone in the dark. Why would he want to speak any louder?

@Honeybee_

"Well, let's see what it is?" she asked, looking up at him, her lip still tucked in her teeth. She ran her hands through her hair to try and fix it. She shifted again, making his hand travel to her back and near her rump, making her breath hitch ever so slightly.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"There's a cold dark corner
in the back of my room,
it speaks to me
and says I'm coming for you.

As I lie on my bed
in the fetal position,
my eyes are closed
hoping and wishing.

Maybe that one day
my dreams will come true,
that I don't have to be here
so down and blue.

The corner keeps talking
about how I'm going to die,
all I can do
is lie there and cry.

As the corner gets closer
and takes me in,
my soul starts to burn
as so does my skin.

My bones shall lie there
turning to dust,
my bed surrounding
nothing but rust.
"

Elias spoke the words of the poem, void of emotion and yet full of it. He hardly noticed where his hand had come to rest on her still, still stroking it with his thumb.

@Honeybee_

"I like it" she purred, looking up at him as she spoke. Her face was still a tad bit red but her eyes were now full of emotion like somehow the street lights gave them life. Her hand was now at them of his shirt, her fingers mindlessly grazing over his stomach.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias hummed quietly in response. He set aside the poetry book. "I think that's enough for tonight. I don't want to corrupt you." A small smirk was on display. He slid his hand further up her back, rubbing slowly.

She shifted back to his hand rubbing her stomach but also partially on her bra. She decided to ignore it, hoping he would see her blushing. She fixed her gaze to the city, soon falling between consciousness and unconsciousness.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias pulled her back into his embrace. He noticed that she was starting to fall asleep. He smiled and kissed the top of her head. "Sleep, you need it." He murmured. He continued rubbing her bare skin and holding her in his warm embrace.

@Honeybee_

She was soon peacefully asleep on his shoulder, no sounds could be heard from her except for steady breathing. She looked graceful, the lights reflecting off her pale skin she attained when in the fall.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias smiled. His fingertips brushed over her cheek. He returned his arm around her waist. He watched as the sun began to peak over the buildings. He gave her a few minutes before picking up Sophia. He carried her inside and to the elevator. "Its 6:50." he told her when she woke.

@Honeybee_

She pressed herself to him, listening to him as he told her the time. "Already?" she laughed, her voice raspy but adorable. She looked up at him, a small smile forming on her lips as she watched the lights of the elevator bounce off of his skin as she clutched onto his shirt. She felt small in his arms, even if she was small already.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias nodded, smiling softly at her. He dropped her off in front of her door, reluctant to let her go. "I'll meet you downstairs at 7:30." He gave her hips a small squeeze before getting back in the elevator and going up to his floor. He quietly walked into his dorm room. He showered and dressed. He grabbed his backpack and charged phone before heading back downstairs.

@Honeybee_

Her breath hitched again when he squeezed her hips, biting her lip and looking up at him, nodding her head at his declaration. She unlocked her door and went into her room, getting dressed and putting her hair up into a more tidy bun. She didn't put on makeup but did put on lipgloss. That was when she got the text about the party that evening. She locked her door with her bag on her arm and walked down the hall, clicking the down button to get to the lobby, stepping in a few seconds later.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elias waited for her by the elevator doors. He was propped against the wall, his poetry book in hand. He was currently reading as he waited for Sophia to arrive. His eyes glanced up as the doors opened, revealing Sophia. He closed his book and pushed off the wall. "Are we stopping for coffee first?" He asked her.
