Caleb looked over at her. "Care to explain? Because I am thoroughly confused."

"Five years ago when I left you I left you I left for two reasons one my father got a job so we had to move and two I was pregnat"she said.

Caleb's face blanched, his eyes widened. "W-what?! Who?!"

Briar looked at him with a frown.

Caleb sat up sharply. "N-not…" He couldn't finish. 'She doesn't mean me… right?' His mind was refusing to comprehend.

Caleb's breathing stopped. He had a daughter..? And he never KNEW?! His head was spinning. "Why… Why did you never… tell me…?" He felt a traitorous tear run down a cheek.

"O told your father and he said I should let you go That I shouldn''t hold you back" she said.

Caleb sharply looked out a window at the pouring rain, feeling that it matched his mood right now with it's thunder. "I'm gonna kill him." He snarled.

she shooke her head "Caleb it's not worth it".

Caleb looked back at her. "Maybe not, but his blood will make me feel better." He hauled himself up again and limped out the door, immediately getting soaked. "Go home to Elizabeth. Tell her… her father's sorry."

Caleb froze, his back still turned towards Briar. He limped forwards before turning to look at her again. He had a strange look on his face.
