"It is." Catori's eyebrow quirked in amusement as she held out her hand for him to take. She was decently aware of what he was doing, and didn't care at all.
"It is." Catori's eyebrow quirked in amusement as she held out her hand for him to take. She was decently aware of what he was doing, and didn't care at all.
Damian gently grabbed her hand, taking comfort from the gesture. “Thank you for helping the bunny.”
"It was nothing." Catori began to lead him back through the trees. "Anyone would have."
“I could list four people who wouldn’t have off the top of my head.” Damian replied, allowing himself to be led along. “You really are quite special, Sparrow.”
"How do you figure?" Catori asked curiously, looking around. This way, right?
“You’re beautiful, intelligent, gentle, and possibly have the best powers out of anyone I’ve met.” Damian listed a bit dramatically.
"I'm out of ways to insist that I'm not as beautiful as you say I am, so I'm moving on to that second one." Catori ignored the blush creeping up her neck, frowning as she tried to remember the way back.
Damian hadn’t seemed to realize they were lost quite yet, too focused on the princess in front of him. “I’d like to see you try to challenge me on that one.”
Not wanting to admit that they were lost, she kept going. "Oh, that's easy. Just wait until you get to know me better."
“I’ll add humble to the list of your good qualities then.” Damian squeezed her hand softly.
Catori pulled to a stop, looking around just a tad bit frantically. "While this is a great topic," She said sarcastically. "We might have a problem. And another thing to tack onto the bad qualities list."
“I doubt that, but what’s wrong?” Damian gazed intently at Catori, a bit curious.
Catori's face scrunched up, and her eyes stopped on him. "I-uh…I think we're lost. Dammit, I did it again."
Damian smiled, stopping for a moment. “Copper!” He called out, pausing to see if the bird heard him.
A few moments later, Copper sailed through the trees, grumbling as she landed on Catori's shoulder. "What?"
“Lead us back to the campsite.” He ordered, still holding onto Catori’s hand. However, Damian’s voice had taken on a formal Prince Tone.
'What's in it for me?" She chirped, ruffling her feathers.
"I'll give you another trinket." Catori promised, looking relieved now that they had a way back.
Damian rolled his eyes at the pudgey bird. “One day you won’t even be able to fly anymore.”
"And one day you'll die." Copper stated, as though that won the argument.
"Could you two please give it a rest for just a bit?" Catori asked, although she looked amused.
“You’re going to die first you obese little winged rat.” Damian shot back in annoyance. “She’s a fiend.” He complained to Catori.
"You're both fiends. And that wasn't nice." She scolded, fighting laughter.
"Yeah, that wasn't nice."
Damian scowled, refusing to lose Catori to a bird. He released her hand and moved to hug her from behind, resting his head on her shoulder and batting Copper off.
Catori's heart skipped a beat, and her face heated up quickly. "Er-Damian?"
“Yeah?” Damian replied, his voice laden with false naveity.
Lotus stepped out of the carriage and looked around at the quaint little town, "That sounds great. Lead the way Pine."
She raised an eyebrow and shrugged, "Whatever you say." She nudged Poe's side and looked around the forest as she followed Victor.
"Is there a specific reason you're…?" Catori trailed off, not too sure what to call it.
“No reason.” Damian not-so-subtly pushes Copper off of Catori’s shoulder.
Copper squawked indignantly, flapping around and landing on a tree branch near by. "Liar!"
"What does she know that I don't?" Catori leaned into him just a bit.
Damian scrunched his nose up, sticking his tongue out at copper before cuddling up to Catori again. “Nothing. She’s just mean to me.”
"Why do I not believe you?" Catori instinctively activated her power, warmth spreading quickly.
