He nodded and went in the house to grab a few things
"alright! Ladies and gentleman! Who wants to play bombball?" He cocked his head to the side with a grin, ever the theatrical ringleader "no takers? Alrighty then, guess it's freeball!" He started batting around bombs "home run!"
the camera men ran off and vanessa sighed.
For the few left standing in frozen amazement or terror, Brink grinned "show's over friends, get out."
Vanessa hugged brink ¨thanks
"No problem kitty cat." He hugged her back "now what the hell did you do?"
"Well im not the princess of chaos apperantly im the princess of justice".
He rolled his eyes teasingly "oh god. What happened?"
"I saved some kids and…. apparantly it's rumored that….i'm……dating……Luke.
He nodded, eyes flashing with surpressed rage "I was wondering when that was going to start." He muttered "the kid ok?"
She sighed "I don't know Brink I don't think I can stay" she said.
All anger left his eyes "why? Because if the rumors? Or something else?"
She grabbed both his hands lacing thier fingers together "I don't belong here" she said.
He gave a rough laugh "my dear, none of us do, that's why we're together." He said, starting to get desperate
she put a hand on his cheek "My mother told me that my father isn't dead he's…..he's….a"
"alive." He finished fire her, nodding his head and kissing her hand. "Come on then." He tuggered her to the house
She jerked her hand away " you don't understand" she said.
He turned, pan in his eyes "what do I not understand kitty?"
Vanessa directed brink to a poster with Batman on it.
He glared at it "you're joking….right? this is a terrible joke."
she shook her head slowly.
He nodded slowly "so you want to find him?"
¨No I want to leave everything in Gotham and move on
He closed his eyes "including me."
"You know I love you but I can'r protect you and my father" she said.
"Who says I need protecting?" he shook his head and sighed "I'll be fine. you need to do what you need to do. I won't stand in front of you."
she sighed "brink there's a chance I won't be your villian kitty anymore" she said.
He shook his head and glanced down, averting her gaze to hide the pain entering his eyes "you will always be my kitty. Nothing's going to change that."
she sighed "I know but your parents won't let me around you anymore'.
"dad might be a little upset, mom will be beyond mental but nothing me and Hacks can't handle." He said, feeling the chill of loneliness already taking over
