“Princess, I assure you I’ll be perfectly fine.” Damian heaved out a sigh. “Trust me on this.”
“Princess, I assure you I’ll be perfectly fine.” Damian heaved out a sigh. “Trust me on this.”
"You better be." She said firmly, gaze unwavering.
Damian looked away, uncomfortable with lying under her intense gaze.
"If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. I've got plenty of things on me that might help."
“Princess you don’t need to worry about me so much.” Damian ran his hands through his hair.
"Well, I am worrying. You seem a bit too calm about the fact that you burn up your own energy using magic." Catori's face was a bit scrunched up, brows furrowed as she looked at Damian.
Fletcher looked around and could only sigh when he saw no one. He headed back to his destination through the woods but stopped when he was in the middle of the forest. He used his powers and decided to see if there was any information he could find from the people nearby so he tugged his horse near a tree and tied it up after feeding it and giving it a well-deserved brush down. He then teleported upon a tree and listened…
“It’s not a big deal.” Damian sighed. “It just makes me tired for awhile.”
Catori huffed, but dropped the subject. She was still worried though, a fact made obvious by her occasional glances in his direction.
Fletcher lay on a branch while hidden in the myriad of leaves and trees. He took out a book to read and brought out a chicken sandwich he started to bite on as he opened the book and read. He still kept his ears listening to the conversation happening below though.
Damian leaned against Quintus for support, lapsing into silence. Within a half hour he was half asleep, his eyes barely open. Copper had landed on his shoulder.
”He’s dead!” She squawked dramatically. ”Check his pockets for crackers!”
(LMAO lol)
(( HOW MUCH FREE TIME DO YOU PEOPLE HAVE!?!?!?!?)))
((i need to read all these pages now.))
((I do school at IA, so a lot
Catori rolled her eyes. "He's not dead, just stupid. Let him sleep, I'll give you crackers."
((And I’m on vacation))
“I’m not asleep.” Damian opened an eye. “Just resting. And I’m not stupid.” He complained, but there was no bite to his words.
"Well, you looked like you were sleeping. And what would you call it then?" She raised an eyebrow, interested in his view of it.
“I call it resting.” Damian lifted his head to look at Catori. “I don’t need sleep.” He added, almost whining.
"I find that incredibly hard to believe. You look as though you're about to fall off of Quintus."
“Nonsense.” Damian yawned, attempting to hide it by looking away.
"Maybe we should stop, take a short break." Catori suggested.
“And if one of my brothers is after us?” Damian replied, a little bit of his anxiety slipping into his tone.
"They have their own things to worry about, Damian. The only one we ran into was Fletcher, and he seems fairly…easy to calm?" Catori shrugged. "It'll be fine."
“Are you certain you want to rest?” Damian raked his hands through his hair and pulled on the reins to slow Quintus.
"Yes, I am." Asterin followed Quintus's lead and slowed.
Fletcher finally got bored of listening to their talks so he went and teleported somewhere before quickly returning back with someone after giving some spying orders, he got on his horse and galloped to the kingdom of Valeria passing by the pair in the woods and heading southwest. but before he went out of the woods to slow down his brother he created and put down a huge layer of dark fog around the forest and inside of it.
“Catori?” Damian froze as he saw a black mist snaking through the trees. “Do… Do you see that too?”
"This trip has been extremely eventful." Catori muttered, looking towards the mist. "Yeah, I see it."
Damian just stared at it, exhausted enough already. “Okay uh… We need a source of wind. Air. Something to push it backwards.” He narrowed his eyes in deep thought.
"I wont be much help then…" She looked around, trying to think.
