Damian gritted his teeth as a stick hit his back. He looked up at the trees, but assumed it was just the trees.
”Something doesn’t feel right.” Quintus neighed, a bit uneasy.
“I know bud, we’re fine.” Damian stroked Quintus’s mane gently, scanning the forest. It was hard to focus with so many other voices in the background so Damian quickly quit the search, trying to narrow his focus to Catori before he got overwhelmed.
Fletcher shoved Damian and made the princesses horse flee into the woods. he chased after it and tied it up to a tree close by and left a very easily found trail to it and a cave before teleporting back. He then used his powers to create dark clouds and made them filled with lightning to make it look like it was an elemental storm as that was common to come out of the blue.
Fletcher left out an annoyed inward sigh although he took the opportunity to do a prank he was soft enough to find shelter for them.
Whoa okay there’s a LOT going on here lol))
((agafdga i'm not even sure how to react lmao
Same lol, okay uh… hang on I think I need to reread this a few more times. I’m a bit confused))
By now, Ursule had drowned out the other peoples talking and was proceeding to be trapped in her own world. I wonder how many fights I'll get into… Whether voluntary or not…
Ok I’m gonna be honest I’m still lost. Where’s everyone exactly? And Quintus + the supply carriage?)
(I am in the woods with my servant and stuff with me. I am doing a prank on Damian and I have thrown a stick at him Created a fake elemental storm of chaos (read my RP character sheet for what powers it contains.(Pg 36))and then made Cartori's horse flee close by then i left a trail a trail to it and a cave for shelter.)
(Sorry for any mistakes or such its been a while since I role-played…)
(It’s okay, I understand! Would you mind, in the future, taking things a little slower to make writing a reaction easier? Damian can understand animals so he probably would’ve heard Asterin shouting something when Fletcher chased him, or Catori shouting that something was going on since she’s not exactly your average damsel in distress XD)
(Sure np, I will just revert back to throwing a stick at you then creating the elemental chaos storm…
Is that alright…)
(That’s fine! Let me just write up a response then, one sec!)
Damian tensed as thunder boomed across the rapidly darkening sky. He knew the forest often had rainstorms, but the branch hitting his back had already sent the prince into a state of unease.
”I don’t like storms…” Quintus whinnied in discomfort. Damian sighed.
“I know, me neither.” He couldn’t help but become suspicious. Was one of his brothers already trying to assassinate him and steal Catori? No, right?
Catori looked around calmly, an eyebrow raised. "Strange. There really shouldn't be any random weather fluxes."
“We should speed up.” Damian didn’t want to reveal his suspicions right away. “Quintus is antsy.”
Catori nodded, and Asterin sped up willingly.
"That was no animal that threw that stick." He huffed, watching the sides of the road.
“We’re being paranoid.” Damian replied to Asterin. “Don’t worry about it. Whatever happened stopped now.” He insisted, forcing himself to look relaxed.
Fletcher smirked at their worried faces. "Now to further increase those worries." He thought. "How about… this," Fletcher made a lightning strike near the Princess's horse. Suddenly as the lightning struck the ground; leaving charred earth with some shadow smoke. at that moment the horse started to flee into the woods, leaving the princess behind and thrown off on to the ground. "Whoops… hope the horse is alright." Just to make sure though Fletcher teleported near the horse before calming it down and tying it down to a nearby tree.
((Does that mean Catori was thrown off, or is she still on Asterin? Also, she is very not panicked. A storm is the least scary thing she's seen
(Sorry I have changed it so she was thrown off Asterin and fixed a bit.)
Quintus bucked as soon as the lightning struck. Damian barely held on, managing to soothe him through frantic whispers. However as soon as Catori hit the ground, the prince knew the cause was one of his brothers.
“Fletcher!” Damian yelled, knowing he was the only one capable of creating such a storm. “If I catch you then Father will find your grave in the forest!” He jumped out of the saddle, rushing over to Catori.
Catori started laughing, very unbothered by the fact that she had just been thrown off of a horse.. "I have to say, quite the excitement. Do you know if Asterin is okay?"
“I have to find him still.” Damian was caught off guard by Catori’s laughter. “Get on Quintus, I suspect my brother is behind this, and he may be trying to assassinate me to get ahead in the competition.”
"This bears more resemblance to a prank than an assassination attempt." She remarked, standing up and brushing of her trousers.
Fletcher smiled when he heard Damian's furious voice."Calm down my dear brother, the horse fleeing and your dear lover's fall was only an accident." Fletcher said in a chuckle."Or you could say it was collateral damage."Fletcher spoke after calming down himself and stifling some more laughter. "I wasn't surprised to see you here though. Since your power is related to nature, you could only be heading to Sona. I am correct aren't I." Fletcher teleported in front of the pair and brought out Asterin.
Damian’s eyes narrowed as Fletcher appeared in front of them, the grass withering at his feet. “Our kingdom is at stake and you choose to act like this? Like some bumbling fool?! You should know I’m not to be trifled with.” He hissed, bordering on furious. His skin had physically started to pale, starting at his fingertips. Slowly but surely turning a solid bone white in color.
"My dear brother, we all know that our kingdom is at stake because of us and our competitiveness. Know really bothers to know me, I'm mostly up a tree reading, training or spending time with our civilians." Fletcher said. "How many of our people have you bothered talking to, listening to their thoughts and their needs?" Fletcher's eyes narrowed as he asked the question. "And I admit that my PRANK was uncalled for but If we want to try and finish this quest our beloved father set up for us. We will need alliances because knowing father, he will give us many obstacles."
“If you’re so deeply infatuated with your good deeds go paint a portrait of yourself.” Damian shot back viciously. “Father wanted one of us to win. One of us to rule. I spent years in the libraries of our cities and amongst the gardens and farms. Do not speak of what you know not, Fletcher.”
"Is that so. Remember when we were little, the three brothers of ours threw me down a hole." Fletcher said in reminiscence. "You were there watching their jealousy of me; just because I gained control of my power before them. You knew what was happening yet you did nothing!" Fletcher said in anger. "You can not say that I am deeply infatuated with my good deeds!" Fletcher roared. "It was because of that I no longer trusted anyone and it was because of that did I train through my blood sweat and tears, I helped many poor alone people like me!" "You, although I trusted you, you just stood there!" "You know I am more powerful than you!" Fletcher's eyes turned glowing blue as he took a step forward.
(In case this doesn't make sense I am basically angry and about to go into my super sayen mode because of you.)
Damian’s skin actually returned to normal as he calmed down, his demeanor shifting significantly from anger to a remorseless smirk. “Then I ask why, brother, do you still seek me out for help?”
He stood still, refusing to back down. “Do you see now? If you’re going to burst into a demonic fit every time you get denied what you wish and time a meager insult gets thrown your way, then all our father worked for will be in ruins.”
