(Should we skip to the games?)
(Should we skip to the games?)
(I think so, but it's up to Mage)
(Mage!!!)
"Well, those are some…strong warnings." He smiled uncertainly. "W-Why does she want you?"
Ara shrugged. "Because I'm me."
(We can if you guys want to.)
(Eyyyy, Mage!)
(Yaasss! I just feel like it would be easier)
(Okay!)
(Alright, so we're doing that then, yeah?)
(?)
(Who wants to start?)
(Idk where so dibs out)
(I can if everyone's okay with it.)
(Sure)
(Okay, cool.)
"Anyone between 14 and 19 who would like to enter the Games please put your name and district on a piece of paper and put it in this jar, please," said an old Earth woman, holding out a clay jar. Ara scribbled her name down and went to go sit down.
Era-Lee nervously put the folded piece of paper with her name on it into the jar and hurried to sit down next to Jenson, ducking her head slightly so that no one noticed her.
Killian sighed and wrote his name on a slip of paper. Putting it into the jar, he slowly turned around and walked back to his seat
Caya and Brix looked evenly at each other and dropped their in at the same time.
"To fate," Brix said quietly and Caya nodded.
Peipe bit her lip. Killian had signed up to, and tons of other fire district girls were signing up. She shuffled forward shyly and put her paper in.
Piro's nails dug into his palms as he walked up. He etched his name and district on a piece of paper, resisted the temptation to wad it up, and dropped it in the jar. He forced his fingers to uncurl as he sank back down to his seat.
Diren scanned the other competitors tensely, writing his name and putting it in the jar without looking. He focused on his feet and slipped back to his chair.
Killian saw Peipe putting her name in and looked at her in shock. "Are you crazy?" He asked, once she sat down
She bit her lip. "Apparently," she whispered.
"I guess we both are crazy." He shrugged
"What if one year, no on signed up?" she whispered.
"Then they would start choosing. I heard something like that happened before." He whispered back
She paled quickly. "Oh…"

Killian nodded
After everyone who wanted to put their names in the jar, the Earth woman held up a hand for silence. "I will now be picking the names of the people who are entering."
"How does she know to pick a girl and a boy from each district if all of them are in the same jar?" Jenson whispered.
Peipe bit her lip and shifted nervously. Time to see how much of an idiot she was.
Killan silently prayed he wouldn't get chosen. But at the same time he wished he did, his team needed the supplies.
Subconsciously, Peipe nervously shifted closer to him.
