"Good, thanks." Piro stared for a second, then sat down on the table.
Diren held out his hand, tilting his head. "I'm Diren."
"Good, thanks." Piro stared for a second, then sat down on the table.
Diren held out his hand, tilting his head. "I'm Diren."
Ara grinned at the boy and sat down as well. "Why did you enter?" Then she laughed. "I'm Ara, by the way. Or Frostbite. Call me whatever."
Era-Lee almost smiled in relief when the boy didn't laugh at her. He shook his hand, slightly more confident now. "Era-Lee."
Killian sighed and grabbed Peipes arm "you aren't going to die, not on my watch." He grumbled
Peipe jumped at the sudden gesture and winced. "I don't want you to die trying to protect me, Killian," she said quietly. "If it comes down to you or me dying from someone, don't die for me."
"Sure," Brix said, sitting up and being much more serious.
"Sorry I'm late," Caya said, walking into the room and looking between the two of them. "What are you doing here Teala?" she asked sharply.
"Giving you life-saving advice," the woman snarled. "So I suggest that you take it."
Brix stood quickly. "Woah, hold on. Calm down, both of you."
Caya glanced over at him and sighed. "Fine." She walked over beside him and they both sat again. Brix gave her a brief, meaningful glance.
"Well, now that we're all here," Teala muttered. "As I was going to say, you two are a powerful pair. There is really only one other threat that is posed to you that I know about. Brooklyn was telling me about the female from Water. They call her Frostbite, and she's a very powerful opponent. You need to kill her as soon as you can, because the longer she's left alone, the more dangerous she becomes."
"Great," Caya mumbled. She'd heard of the girl, and she was pretty sure they'd met before.
"So? She doesn't sound like anything we can't handle," Brix pointed out, trying to get Caya to lighten up. In fact, he did the exact opposite.
Caya slammed her palm on the table. "If you think like that, you might as well be dead already. We go in underestimating no one."
Brix looked her up and down. "Even each other?"
Caya deadpanned and stormed off to her room.
Brix glanced over at Teala. "Was it something I said?"
Ara stood up and paced around. All this waiting was grating at her nerves. She wanted action. "When can we go meet the others?" She whined. She paced back and forth and then sighed. She summoned an ice dagger and threw it at the wall. It lodged in it, and she melted it, so there was a gaping hole in the wall. She flopped onto the couch again and groaned. "I need to kill someone right now…"
(Should there be alliances with other districts or not?)
(I think that would be cool)
Killian smiled (are they dating?), "peipe, nothing will happen to us. Neither of us will be dying anytime soon."
(Alright. What should the groups be?)
(I feel Air and Water are enemies. Also, I was kinda thinking it was more "big brother-little sister" relationship with Peipe and Killian, but they can be dating if you want, Stark.)
She looked up at him with her wide eyes. "Do you really promise that?"
(Sure, I can do that. I was just confused as to their relationship)
Killian looked at her and crossed his fingers in his pocket before smiling at her "I do."
(Cool.)
(Okay, sorry!)
Peipe smiled and threw her arms around him in a hug. "I trust you, Killian," she said quietly.
"I trust me too." He said under his breath
Peipe looked up at him with wide eyes. "What?"
(Should they meet now?)
(At the training center)
(Okay. Do you want to start or should I?)
(Doesn't matter. You can.)
(Okay.)
Ara followed a woman to the training room. There were people there already. She was pretty sure that she recognized the Air girl, but she wasn't sure.
Caya kept her chin lifted and surveyed the other trainees. When the girl from the Water District walked in, she narrowed her eyes and subtly elbowed Brix.
"What?" he muttered.
"Watch her," Caya replied under her breath, giving no physical show of talking or looking at the girl.
Peipe's eyes darted around nervously. I'm going to die… one of these people is going to kill me. She trembled slightly with fear and anxiety.
Era-Lee nervously walked over to a corner and sat down, trying to make herself invisible.
Ara spotted the Air girl again, and examined her closely. After a moment, she grinned. "Hey, Your Highness!" She called.
Caya's eyes narrowed just slightly, the only sign that showed she had heard.
Brix crossed his arms over his chest and arched his eyebrows. "Highness?"
Ara skipped over to them, a smirk on her face. "Is this your king?" She asked, motioning to the guy beside her.
"No," Caya said tersely.
Brix looked between the two of them.
Ara shrugged. "Pity. He seems like your type." She held out her hand, a faint smirk on her face. "The name's Ara. Your girlfriend doesn't like me much, does she? You seem like the smarter one." She leaned on the wall.
Brix shrugged. "Not my girlfriend, but okay."
Caya was glaring at Ara. "I have my reasons for not liking people."
She grinned, and then her grin faltered. Her gaze grew hard, and she glared at something beyond the two of them. "Brooklyn," she growled.
Era-Lee saw a woman walk into the room and grinned. "Brooklyn! Hi!" She yelled. The woman who had helped her family through hard times after her father died looked up. "Hey, shrimp!" They hugged.
Ara watched the touching display. "Oh no, here comes Brooklyn!" She called in a loud, sarcastic voice. "She's great, but if you don't give her what she wants, she'll send soldiers after you! But other than that, she's great!"
Caya's eyes glittered. So THAT'S Brooklyn…
Killian grasped peipes hand and sighed "he would protect this child no matter what.
Peipe clung to him like he was her lifeline, which he was.
