“Er…. whatever I think of. I had a lot of free time before this…..”

"Oh, well their nice. Are you thinking about taking art classes here or doing it as a career?"

“Not as a career, I have to run my parents’ law firm.” Finn said. “I’m not even sure if it’s legal for me to do that anymore, but whatever.”

"Oh," Jayde said, going back to her side of the room.

“So…. what’s your story?”

"Well, my brother sent me here because I used to get in trouble a lot back at home and he really didn't want me there. My parents died when I was nine in a car crash and my brother got sent to jail so I'm here." She rambled in one breath. "I couldn't stay home because all the gangs my brother… affiliated with." She said with a pause, looking for the right word to describe it.

“Sorry.” Finn said simply.

"No problem, I'm over it anyways." She responded quickly.

Finn nodded, changing the subject. “What’s your schuedule look like?”

Jayde went back to retrieve her folder and skimmed through the page. "I have all the basic classes, track, band, and something to do with science."

“Basic classes, swim, band, and biology.”

"Cool, we share most of the same classes." Jayde noted, putting the schedule away. What do you want to do while we're waiting for class tomorrow.

“I say we get up early and go to the library.”

"Why though???" She asked, confused as to why he would want to go to a library before school starts.

“I have access to any book for as long as I want, but I want to get them before anyone else does.”

"Oh," Jayde said in understanding. "So, when will we go?"

“Class starts at 7:45. Lets get out of here by 7.”

"Ok, so what do we do in the meantime?"

“Let’s see…. dinner’s at 6:00, lights out at 9:00. We could go to the floor living room.”

"Could you show me there?" She asked.

“Sure!” Finn said, getting up, making sure to grab his sketchbook on the way out. He lead Jayde down the hallway, which opened up to reveal a large room, full of desks, sofas, and armchairs.

Jayde followed closely behind to see the room. "Wow…" She said as she stared in awe of the place.

“Yeah. Finn sat down on a large purple couch, one he recognized from pictures of his parents’ days here.

"This is awesome and I am definitely coming back here." She said looking around the place.

“Well, that’s what it’s for.” Finn replied, smiling. He got out his sketchbook, and began sketching the room.

Jayde smiled back and sat down in one of the chairs. "It smells nice in here too."

“Yeah?” Finn replied, laughing a bit.

"Yeah, it's so ideal for studying." She mentioned. "Are the other rooms like this?"

“Well, in every floor, there’s a living room. The rest of the dorms are like ours.”

"Oh, so what else does this floor have." She asked
