"Oh?" She looked back over at him, curious.
"Oh?" She looked back over at him, curious.
“Uh, yeah. Sometimes.” Damian stroked Quintus’s mane. “It’s like being in the marketplace, with everyone yelling everywhere.”
"Hhmm." Catori fiddled with a sprig of Rue. "I've always found with places like the market places, it's best to focus on one thing at a time, or it can be overwhelming. It's, uh, probably not that helpful…"
“Would you mind talking to me?” Damian asked, a bit reluctant. He wasn’t a fan of asking for help at all, but he also was a bit intimdayed by the task ahead.
"I would love to." Catori smiled, holding the herb up to look at it in the sun. "They say Rue protects against the evil eye, and I've heard of it being a good herb to bring on travels. Although, Comfrey root is more commonly known for that."
Damian smiled softly. “Good to know I have protection.” He lead Quintus closer to Asterin and Catori.
Catori bit her lip, gaze warm when she looked over at him. She held out the sprig. "Take it. I have plenty of protection to spare."
Damian felt, for the third time that day, a warm buzzing sensation spread through his veins. An unfortunate occurance which allowed a slight mishap. As soon as Damian grasped the rue spring, it began to blossom and grow several more leaves.
Catori's eyes widened, and she leaned down a bit to look closer. "Oh my. You can make them grow!"
((I cannot word, please excuse any odd looking sentences. My brain functions disappeared
((Hey guys I’m back sorry))
Kai has been watching everything unfold from the steps of the place he had seen his brothers leave not caring enough to say goodbye he’d seen a princess go and come, and then another one came. He took a deep breath in and headed towards the new girl.
((@TiredOtter tell me when you guys are in the forest and I’ll be happy to be the forest animals!😈))
(Idk how to make kamryn relevant to this rp… she more like a background character at this moment)
(Maybe you could have her talk to Prince Kai since @42 just came back?)
(If 42 is on the sure)
I won't be on till around one today just to let you know.))
Damian let out a small sigh of exasperation. “That was uncalled for.” He muttered, glaring at the rue spring.
Catori laughed, looking back up at Damian. "I think it's amazing that you can do that. Does it work with all plants?"
Damian perked up a bit upon hearing Catori’s laugh, a few more flowers sprouting instantly. “Most of the time I have better control over it, but yes.”
"That must come in handy." She watched with interest every time a flower bloomed. "You can create life."
“I suppose so…” Damian’s eyes were focused on Catori more than the flower. “It’s why I think I’ll be able to flourish in the south.”
"I hope I'll be able to help too, even if my magic tends to destroy." Her gaze lingered on the flowers for a moment more before she looked up, a bit startled to find Damian already looking at her.
“I have no doubt that you’ll be able to help.” Damian quickly looked away, noticing they had already entered the forest. A few birds chattered about the newcomers from the tree, whom Copper was more than happy to squawk profanities at.
Catori blinked, lips quirking into a soft smile. She looked around at the forest, watching birds swoop between the trees. "When I was a child, my brothers and I would sneak out and go play games in the forest. We would pretend we were elves, or knights on a quest."
“I wasn’t aware it was possible to be close to your siblings.” He chuckled, shaking his head. “My brothers and I were bitter rivals from the start.”
"We were all we had. Our parents were always busy, and our position scared away anyone else." She shrugged.
“They approves of you coming here?” Damian raised an eyebrow in surprise, trying to ignore the yelling of a few nearby squirrels.
"They were…worried, at first. Probably still are." Catori looked away, up at the trees. "But I told them that I needed a change of scenery, to get out and experience new things."
Damian nodded. “That is understandable.” He subtlety slipped his hands over his ears, trying to block out a suddenly influx of voices from a stream filled with salmon.
Catori glanced over, then started digging through a pocket on her belt. "Me talking might not be much help, but I might have something in here to help block out sound." She felt bad, not being able to do more.
Damian shook his head. “Nonsense, I must learn to cope with it. Sana lies next to the woods. I just… grew startled.” He insisted.
"Are you sure?" She looked over at him, worry in her gaze.
((i shall resume my part as Chucky the squirrel, please stand by.))
Chucky chattered in the treetops he had followed the humans into the forest and was working on rallying the animals, at the moment he and about thirty other squirrels of all shapes and sizes and a couple birds. they were all on a branchs with piles of nuts, they waited a moment then launched there attack.
