I nearly got run over by a truck on my way to school today. And I'm pretty sure I nearly caused an accident cause people are too impatient and a guy stopped to let me cross the street.

This author killed off almost every damn person in the series, including the main character (technically)
I sat there crying in front of my mum and all she could say was: "If it's going to affect you this badly then perhaps you shouldn't read books."
I can still see the ending scene in my head and I am trying so hard not to fucking cry again

It was, and that's what I hate most about it..
The main character had only just confessed his feeling and hooked up with his best friend a couple chapters before…. Then before I know it he's digging his best friend's grave and living by it for 5 years and then he turns himself into a fucking tree right on top of the grave just to be with him.. Nope! I'm crying again!!!!
