"Now isn't the best time to keep your mouth shut," he said. The demon's expression was one of frustration as he stood. Sighing, he suddenly disappeared using his magic. If the officer wished to be beaten, so be it.

The officer shook himself out and sighed softly. “I’m… I’m gonna go.”
Ti frowned at him, crossing his arms. “What the hell was that?” He asked as the officer walked by him.
The officer just shrugged as he walked from their home, immediately locking the door with his key and touching his crooked nose. He had left his jacket in the house, and he was already shivering lightly.

Having enjoyed the cooler air of the night, the demon seated himself on a bench along the sidewalk, just a few buildings away. Emotions were swimming around in his mind, unsure what he was feeling. It was better than going home to an empty space. He hadn't even noticed that the officer had exited his home.

The officer let his feet turn him towards the park and lake, wanting to sit by it and look at the pretty surface. He loved the lake by his home, and he reminiscences about it as he walked along the dark buildings. His usually sharp eyes didn’t pick up a dark form on a bench.

Hearing distant footsteps, the demon's head whipped around to notice the officer walking about. He frowned as he turned back around. It was "none of his business" anyways. He scowled thinking of the abuse in that apartment and the officer simply taking hit after hit. Mortals could be quite confusing to him.

The officer glanced out of his stupor and memories at a movement, and shrugged it off. If he got attacked he really wouldn’t care. It’s be better than being stalked by a demon and abused. This thought got him hoping he got attacked, but it probably wouldn’t happen…

Picking up a small stone, the demon turned it around in his right hand before tossing it to skip over the water of the lake before him. It was quite calming. It numbed his mind.

The officer plopped down onto the stone bank of the lake, sighing and letting his hands fall into his lap. Why couldn’t he just lead a normal life? It wasn’t so much to ask for.

The demon noticed someone take a seat on the rocks lining the outside of the smaller body of water. Squinting slightly, he noticed the same attire the officer had been wearing. And he seemed cold. Nearly groaning to himself, he stood and took off his overcoat of his tuxedo, dropping it over the other's head. Not wanting an earful from the other man, he started walking the other way.

The officer gasped when something came over his head and he took off the tux, looking up. “O-oh. Hey, there…” There he goes…. Wait, why do I care?

Hearing the officer's shy tone, the demon stops and turns on his heel. He had a brow raised, a bit confused as he was somewhat called back to the officer. Perhaps he was overthinking things.

The officer swallowed a little and glanced down at the jacket.
"You didn't have to do all of this." He gently took the jacket off and stuck it out towards the Demon.

@Painted-Iris group

"You're cold, just keep it," he said simply. The demon didn't bother taking the jacket back. He had plenty others. Thinking about it now, if the officer returned with the item, he might get beaten. Apparently he had things "under control" though.

The officer ran his thumbs over the thick wool of the jacket. "But… it's really nice. I don't think you should give me something like this. I'd probably ruin it," He admitted sheepishly, setting it down. His body gave a tiny shiver.

The demon rolled his eyes before coming closer to the officer again. He sighed as he draped the warm fabric over the other's shoulders again.
"It doesn't really matter if you're not going to see me again," he argued, conflicting emotions making it hard to determine an exact tone he used.

The officer seemed somewhat taken aback by this. "If… if we're not going to see each other again, then there's no reason for you not to take it." He slowly took it off, being aware of the different emotions in the Demon.

@Painted-Iris group

The demon raised a brow again before dropping it and pushing the jacket back into his arms.
"You sound upset by my statement. I thought you wanted me to leave." It wasn't a question.

The officer waved and barely caught his balance again, despite sitting on something. "I… I don't know anymore." He pushed the jacket onto a rock on the ground and looked away. He had just grown sharply aware of how stupidly sensitive he was being and despised it.
