The demon frowned lightly at the overcoat being placed on the ground. "You don't know anymore," he repeated softly to himself. Humming, the demon thought of an idea. It was an odd one yes, but it would work better than the awkwardness that hung in the air.
"I'm a demon that can be summoned. I'm no contract demon, but if done right, I can be summoned. I could show you how…?" he offered, the end seeming like a question. "That is… so you can let me know of your decision."

The officer sighed softly, his breath rising into the air. The vapor faded off like the smoke of a cigarette, which the officer desperately wanted a smoke of.
"Decision? What type of decision?" The other man asked, glancing over his shoulder.

The man's violet eyes widened slightly. Did he already forget his own words?
"If you want me around or not," the demon said plainly, taking a seat a bit away from the officer.

"Oh." The other man looked down at the lake and shrugged. "I don't really want to go through such a fuss only to tell you something like that. It'd be quite bothersome to you, right?"

Deleted user

The officer glanced up at the demon, blinking. "Oh. Well… um… I guess you can stick around if you want."

Deleted user

"I mean…. yes?" It sounded like a question but more sure than what he said previously. "I guess I'd like you around."

The officer sighed softly at the demon's tone and shook his head. "Never mind. It sounds like you're bored here anyway."

@Painted-Iris group

"Not with being here, no. Disinterested in your attempt to be sure, yes," the demon replied. It was a one or the other decision. He would no longer bother the officer if he wasn't fully sure about him. However, if he were to stick around, there wasn't much reassurance that he would keep his presence hidden. Especially if the officer returned to Ti each night.

The officer stole another glance to the demon with yet another faint sigh. "I… I guess you can stay. It'd be nice to have someone around who doesn't have the intent on hitting me…" He looked down at the lake.

@Painted-Iris group

"Which again, is totally fucked up to hit someone. Especially someone you're supposed to love," the demon reminded. Not that the words were needed. The bruising was enough of a reminder. The man laid back onto the rocks, arms behind his head. It really wasn't comfortable, but the demon could care less at the moment.

The officer shifted under the jacket, pulling it closer around his body and sighing into the thick fabric, his breath rising into the air.
"I guess you're right. I dunno. I think it'd be nice to have you around. Especially after work…"

The demon gave the officer a genuine smile. It was softer than his usual smirk. He nearly chuckled at the thought of how events were turning out. "You think so?" the man asked rhetorically.

The officer decided not to answer the obvious question. He snuggled closer into the jacket with a faint sigh, looking down at the lake. I've been so stupid…

@Painted-Iris group

He makes it so hard not to steal him away again… the demon thought, staring at the sky. It was an inky indigo that was nearly a dark onyx color. He wished the stars were more visible, though it was hard with the light pollution.

The officer took a second glance at the demon with a faint sigh.
"What is your name? I don't want to go around calling you 'demon'."

@Painted-Iris group

(you might recognise the name eheeee)
Snapping out of his thoughts, the demon turned his head to look up at the officer. Man, was he out of it tonight…
Letting a small smirk play at his lips, the man finally introduced himself. "Axtin."

(Eheheheheheheheeheheeee)

"Axtin," The human repeated. The name sounded unfamiliar but nice on his tongue. "It's… er… nice to meet you."

@Painted-Iris group

(ITS THE ONLY DEMON BOI I HAVE BUT CANON VERSION IS KIND OF A MESS LMAO)
The comment was well appreciated, the taller of the two enjoying the way his name rolled off of the other's tongue.
"And what about you, 'Officer P?'" the demon asked, violet eyes shimmering with curiosity.

The officer sniffled softly, rubbing at his nose with a sleeve on his own shirt.
"M'names Allen. Allen Pousher." Allen glanced at Axtin with a small grin.

@Painted-Iris group

Axtin hummed happily hearing the name. It suited the officer. Seeing Allen's tiny smile was quite rewarding as well. "Allen. Allllllennnnn," he repeated, having fun with the way the l's rolled off his tongue.

Allen chuckled softly and looked down at the lake. "Yeah. That's my name." He smiled a bit more, looking back up.
"I like your name, too."

@Painted-Iris group

"Ah, thank you," the demon replied softly. Needing something to do with his hands, he cracked his knuckles lightly before resting them against his chest again. "You know, you should smile more. It looks good on you," he added with a sincere grin.

Allen's gein faded slightly. "I wish I could smile more. But my life is all stressful ight now."

@Painted-Iris group

Taking the opportunity, the demon took Allen by the chin to make sure the officer looked him in the eyes. Those beautiful violet orbs…
"We'll have to see about changing that now, won't we?" he asked rhetorically, raising a brow

Deleted user

Allen's eyes widened a little and he shifted his hips under them. "I… how do you suggest we change it, Axtin?"

@Painted-Iris group

"For one, I did offer you space in my home if needed," the man started, referring to the fact that the officer's current home was not one of peace most of the time. "Two, I'm thinking a lot of the added stress comes from Ti, or am I wrong?" Axtin added, daring Allen to deny it.
