“I’ll be right here if you need me. Or in the kitchen. If you need something, just call for me and I’ll come,” I assured her gently before standing. “I’ll be back in a few.”

Eden’s POV:

I nodded with a smile, watching him before I settled in the bed, pulling the covers over me and hugging the pillow.

I sighed.

Sterling’s POV:

After pressing a quick kiss to her cheek, I left the room and made my way to the kitchen. I just made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, something easy and simple, before heading back to the bedroom.

Eden’s POV:

I looked up at Sterling, smiling when he sat down next to me. I shifted so many head was on his lap.

“Goodnight, Ry…” I murmued.

Sterling’s POV:

I smiled down at her softly before kissing her cheek. “Night, my queen. Rest well…”

Eden's POV:

I woke up the next morning snuggled in Sterling's arms. Even if he was asleep, his hold on me was strong. I shifted a little before resting my head back on his chest, sighing softly. I loved sleeping with him, in his arms, protected from everything.

Ah, this man had made me soft.

I looked up and pressed my lips against his cheek, a soft smile on my lips.

"I love you, my king," I whispered before resting my head back on his chest.

Gray's POV:

For the first time, I woke up with my girlfriend safely tucked in my arms. I smiled, looking at her. Violeta was adorable when she was awake, but she was even cuter when she was asleep.

I pulled her tighter against me, running my fingers through her hair, pressing a kiss on her forehead.

Sterling’s POV:

Something light brushed against my cheek, and I heard the soft voice of my girlfriend whispering to me. I hummed and let my eyes blink open, looking down at her.

“G’morning,” I greeted her, my voice hoarse from sleep.

Eden’s POV:

“Good morning,” I whispered. Honestly, could his voice get even deeper? “Did I wake you?”

Sterling’s POV:

I smiled and kissed her nose lightly. “No, I was already beginning to wake up, I think. Plus, why would I mind waking up to my amazing girlfriend beside me?”

Eden’s POV:

I closed my eyes, breathing in deeply.

“I didn’t mean that,” I chuckled softly. “I just thought I woke you up. How was your slee?”

Sterling’s POV:

“My sleep was great. It’s nice to have someone warming my side,” I said with another kiss to her nose. “What about you? How was yours?”

Eden’s POV:

I snuggled deeper into his embrace.

“You know it’s always great when you have your arms around me,” I mumbled shyly. “You make me feel safe.”

Sterling’s POV:

I grinned and tightened my arms around her. “Good. I’m glad you feel safe around me. I would be very sad if you didn’t… Are you hungry? We could make breakfast now.”

Eden’s POV:

“Okay,” I mumbled, not wanting to move. “What do you want to eat?”

Sterling’s POV:

“Hm… Maybe pancakes? Chocolate chip pancakes?” I suggested, smiling at her. “That sounds really good right now.”

Eden’s POV:

“Sounds good” I agreed. “Ah, I miss my mom’s pancakes…”

Sterling’s POV:

“Hm… Did I ever have her pancakes? Because I don’t think so,” I mused, pecking her on the lips before reluctantly pulling away. “Care to help me? Or would you prefer to stay in bed for a bit longer?”

Eden’s POV:

“You haven’t? Wait, of course not… when we go there in for Halloween, I’ll make sure she cooks them for you,” I nodded in confirmation. When he continued, I turned red. “Um… help you with what…?

Sterling’s POV:

“Sounds good. I’ll look forward to them,” I said. As her face grew red, I laughed gently and kissed her nose. “With the pancakes, love. I wasn’t insinuating anything… this time…”

Eden’s POV:

I swatted his arm, pouting, trying to hide my red face.

“You’re a jerk,” I mumbled, because a part of me hoped he had been suggesting that… “Use the bathroom quickly so I can use it. Then I’ll join you in the kitchen.”

Sterling’s POV:

“Hey, you’re always welcome to join me if you want to,” I said with a shrug before I stood. “But that’s up to you, babe.”

Eden’s POV:

“You has your chance,” I shrugged. “You lost it.”

Sterling’s POV:

I frowned slightly and looked down at her for a moment. “Fine, then… But I’ll remember this for next time,” I assured her, a smirk making its way to my lips.

Eden’s POV:

I looked at him nervously.

“What do you mean by ‘next time’?” I asked him slowly.

Sterling’s POV:

I chuckled lowly and winked at her before walking into the bathroom. “You’ll see when the time comes…” I said mysteriously as I closed the door behind myself.

Eden’s POV:

With my heart hammering wildly in my chest, I looked at the bathroom door with shock. Immediately, I shook my head with a scowl. This time, I wouldn’t let him tease me. No matter how many times I would want him to take me, I won’t let him.

“Have a great shower!” I called out after him, huffing quietly to myself.
