"If you really want to go there, you'd be best off taking our lightweight to compensate, but I can't say I recommend it. Besides, Septima and I at least are very well-versed in traveling long distances by foot. Depending on how far it is, it might not even be a big deal."
"Calling me a lightweight…" Aurelius muttered, crossing his arms.
"Oh shut it Skye" said Silver, "We'll figure it out on the road."
"Yeah, let's just get walking and see how everyone feels," Septima said.
Aurelius bit his lip when she said that, but he didn't say anything in return.
Skye rolled his eyes, shifting as he got outside.
Taurin strapped his warhammer to his back once everyone started leaving, and he followed them out, making sure to lock the door behind them.
Skye noted the last action, before loping out further into the woods ahead, not waiting for the others.
Taurin held up the rear for a bit, but he had caught up before they were out of the village and in the woods. He kept a close eye on Aurelius, suddenly feeling concerned for the young man.
Silver shifted to wolf form and kept pace with the others while Skye scouted ahead to the edge of the valley.
(I gtg sleep now!)
(Hi!)
Aurelius kept stride next to Silver, still filled with curiosity about where he was from, and what kind of magic he had, but he chose to keep quiet and conserve his energy.
Silver sighed as Skye came loping back in. He shifted and yawned, "So where exactly are we going anyway Skye?" he asked.
"That's a good question, actually," Septima said, "I don't know much about this place other than what their cause is."
"In the northern mountains" said Skye, "They've got a network of camps, we'll probably run into their guards and go from there"
"Okay, sounds good," Septima replied, "That shouldn't be too far. It's what… a day's travel, maybe?"
"Two at most" said Skye, "Easy trip"
"For most of us," Aurelius murmured, quiet enough to where none of his friends could actually hear what he said.
Septima kept walking after where Skye was headed.
Silver heard what Aurelius said, and noted it for later.
(Is it probably best to skip ahead some? It'll be hard to write the whole trip.)
(Oof, I found it finally!)
(Also it's your turn to reply!)
(Yes, and we're skipping to where they get to the town where the rebellion is centered?)
(I was thinking to the edge of the region, have them be attacked, and go from there…
Everything came back after rereading the page…)
(Okay, yeah, that works I guess. Could you initiate that, since you seem to have a better idea of what you want to do?)
sure!))
Silver led the way down into the next valley, he had taken wolf form ever since the mountain pass, and hadn't shifted back. "How much further is it gonna be Skye?" he asked,
"It should be in this valley!" he called, "Though we'll have to be prepped for border guards!"
"Oh, fun… more guards," Septima muttered, "So if we see them, what do we do? Try to sneak, fight, or negotiate?"
She looked back to Aurelius. He wasn't holding up nearly as well as the others, but he dared not complain.
"negotiate" said Skye, "These will be resistance lookouts,"
Silver listened in carefully, keeping a close eye on his surroundings.
