"You alright, Skye?" Septima asked, "You look a little worried."
She kept walking after the guy giving them the tour, but most of her attention was on Skye.
"You alright, Skye?" Septima asked, "You look a little worried."
She kept walking after the guy giving them the tour, but most of her attention was on Skye.
Skye sighed, "I know they're gonna be putting me on intel again" he said, "And I'm happy to do it… I just don't like leaving my siblings for long, even though they're each strong on their own… and together they're invincible."
"You could always ask for a different task," Septima replied, "It may not work, but you can at least say you tried. Besides, I doubt you'll be gone for too long for each mission. It's just spying missions, right?"
"They're infiltration missions, and I don't like leaving my siblings alone for very long.." said Skye, "And unfortunately my abilities are best suited to this job type…."
"I have a feeling they'll choose me for similar missions," Septima added, "but of course I don't have family that needs me to take care of them. they might be worried, but no worse than that."
"Same….. but I still can't help worrying…" said Skye sheepishly.
Septima smiled. "It's okay… Hopefully, we can get them to put us on some team infiltration missions together. I know you've got your family on your mind, and I, of all people, would definitely be able to make sure you get back safely."
Skye grinned, "Sure Septima, maybe we can ask to be put on the same team…"
“Well, then. That settles it I think,” Septima said.
She then looked towards where the medical tents were, but she didn’t say anything.
Silver sighed as he padded out of the tent, he knew Aurelius was probably feeling useless, but he also knew the other healers would have him doing run and fetch as soon as he had gotten some rest. Shaking himself off he took a look around.
Aurelius sighed and waited for someone else to come in so he could ask for some water, and maybe something to eat, but they’d beat him to it. A woman came in carrying a plate with some vegetables and fruit, plus a glass of water. He managed to eat a tiny bit more than he had been able to before without feeling sick to his stomach. Maybe recovery wouldn’t be so bad. He felt more waves of fatigue wash over him, however, and he laid down and went to sleep.
Skye sighed, "So what mission are you sending me on next?" he asked the guy who was giving Septima the tour.
Septima waited for the answer quietly, hoping it was nothing too dangerous. She also had another question weighing on her mind, but that one, she kept to herself.
"We'll be sending you out to the royal palace' said the guy that I'm now gonna call James. "You, and your friend, and one other.
“Um… royal palace? Okay,” Septima replied.
That sounded dangerous alright.
"Who's the one other?" asked Skye,
"That would be me" said Arthur striding up behind them.
"You?!" Skye asked in surprise,
"You'll need an illusionist to get in brother" said Arthur pointing to his hair.
“Well, you won’t be separated from all of your family then,” Septima said with a smile, “Does it not make you feel a bit better?”
"Yeah….." Skye watched Arthur warily, "Maybe not trusting myself to that sibling though…."
“It’s better they sent him with us rather than with a random party though,” Septima reassured him.
(I’m gonna be kind of busy today, but I might be able to drop the occasional response)
"No… I'm worse" said Arthur, "Mostly cause I'm the current Chaos element."
“What do you mean by that? If it’s a problem, can’t you just ask to not be sent?” Septima suggested.
"He's more annoying then Alex is…." said Skye flatly. "And the twins both have a habit of driving people crazy."
"Then just… don't be annoying, at least as long as this mission lasts," Septima warned.
"That's more or less impossible for me…" said Arthur, "Chaosae aura tends to warp you more than a little…."
"Arthur is about as close to the definition of chaos as you can get depending on his mood." explained Skye, "That and and with his history…" he winced as Arthur's face darkened,
"I may or may not be completely sane…" finished Arthur,
"Sounds tough, but I think we've got this," Septima said, "Just try to keep yourself in check as much as you can, and we'll try to take care of the rest."
"Keep me in check?" Asked Arthur incredulously, "you misunderstand the meaning of chaos. I drive you nuts as I help you past the guards and into the palace and act as your escape route."
"Try me," Septima challenged, "I've seen chaos. I can work with you."
She pushed her hair out of her face.
"And like I said, if it's a big problem, just ask to not be sent with us."
"Unfortunately I can't do that" said Arthur. "I'm the only person who can cast an illusion good enough that magic detectors in the palace won't sense it."
Septima's eyes gleamed with interest.
"Illusions, huh? That's fascinating. I'm sure you'll do fine. The more you worry about it, I'm sure the more likely it is you'll mess up."
"Who said anyone was worried?" Said Arthur slightly confused.
"I hate dealing with chaos…." said Skye
