"There's a warp gate about a block or so away. We take that to Dekah's place, then we get you guys home from there," Pluto said.
"There's a warp gate about a block or so away. We take that to Dekah's place, then we get you guys home from there," Pluto said.
He nodded, looking back over his shoulder. "How long do you thing we have before Samandriel tries to go after us?"
"Oh, he won't come after us personally. Inspa won't let him. She'll probably send Ein after us but we'll be gone before he even gets to Gandelheim." They rounded a corner, and Advocate stopped in front of what looked like an apartment building of sorts.
"In here, please. The gate is just downstairs."
Asura was confused. "You're throwing way too many names at me right now."
"Uh, okay. Samandriel was the armored dude from earlier. Inspa is his boss, and the boss of almost everyone in this city. Ein is the guy who's in charge of the angels, also one of Inspa's guys, who happens to want me dead. Sorry, didn't want to confuse you or anything." Pluto made her way through the lobby of the apartment, starting to go down a flight of stairs
"It's alright. It's just hard to keep track of so many people. I'm lowkey having trouble remembering you and Red's name, I forget them all the time." He followed her, staying a little bit behind.
Pluto rolled her eyes. "My name matches a planet, are you sure you're having a hard time? Granted it is the smallest planet in Earth's solar system."
"Pluto isn't a planet, you doorknob," he muttered.
"There's a planet named Pluto?" Mike asked.
Pluto whipped around. "Viva la Pluto, fuck you!" she passive-aggressively yelled before storming down the stairs
"Well it's not!" he yelled back at her. "Even I know that, and I'm not even from Earth!"
Mike shrugged. "Did I mention I have no formal education?"
"You," she said, pointing at Mike, "have an excuse. Asura however, does not." She shot the king a final glare before storming down the rest of the stairs
He threw his hands up. "What did I even do wrong, besides calling you a doorknob?"
"Pluto is a planet, thank you. NASA is just full of idiots." She came to a stop in front of another massive mirror. This one was shaped differently from the one in Samandriel's skyscraper. It was circular and black, with faded silver splotches over the intricate design. The impression of what looked like eyes was faintly carved into the metal
"No, it isn't. It can't be considered a planet because it hasn't cleared the things around its orbit." He shook his head and stopped walking, peering at the mirror.
Mike came up to join them. "Is this really important right now? I know you two love to squabble, but we do have to get out of here sometime before Christmas."

Pluto stood in front of the mirror, reaching into her pocket for the black, gold-rusted key from before. She held it out and the mirror flickered to an inky black. White eyes watched the key, and a white outlined keyhole appeared in the center of the mirror. The glass melted inwards around the key, and Pluto turned the key. The eyes flickered out one by one, and the keyhole disappeared, replaced by a line of text in a strange language. "Follow me." She stepped through the mirror
Mike followed, making sure that the others got in safely as well.
When they stepped through the mirror, they found themselves on a balcony. It was foggy, and dark trees surrounded them. The building they had landed in was an enormous mansion, painted a faded white with touches of dark green paint here and there. Echo hopped in front of the group, a grin plastered on his face. "Welcome to the Court of the Underworld! C'mon!" He bounded across the balcony, opening a large Japanese-style sliding door made of glass and thin wood. Pluto sighed.
"Don't mind him, they don't get many visitors."
"The court of the underworld, huh?" Mike surveyed the view. "Never thought I'd get to check that one off my bucket list."
