"Hmm? What'da ya mean? I'm just the slowest here."
"Hmm? What'da ya mean? I'm just the slowest here."
"Last I checked, walking at a certain pace wasn't illegal. Not that any of us really care what's legal or not."
"Not illegal. But annoying. So both of you stop pretending. "
"If you can beat me in a game of poker, gladly."
“No, I’ll manage,” Arme said, bringing the paper closer to her face. Pointing down the hallway, she spoke again. “We need to take a left up here, then the exit should be straight down that hallway. There’s going to be a guard, but he’s a newbie so I’m guessing he’ll be easy to take out.”
"Look. I just don't want you to go through the rest of life thinking you're fucked up. Hell, we're all fucked up. And none of us like listening to your whining, okay?"
"Fun. I call stabbing the guard." Esme said in response to Arme.
"I'm not whining. It's reality. "
Isaac, who was walking alongside Arme, turned to Esme. "Keep it discreet."
“And make sure you kill him. We can’t afford to leave a trail,” Arme said, stuffing the map back in her bag and veering to the left.
"I would, but Esme seems so excited. I'll hide the body."
"Fine." She pulled out a knife, tossing it in the air.
Talia walked in the middle of the pack, listening to everyone around her and wondering if she was going to ever get along with someone as well as the others got along.
Jordan leaned against the wall silently
"Yo, Talia. You've been kind of quiet. You alright?"
She looked up and shrugged "Yeah, I think so," she said, looking around and shrugging again.
Arme glanced back to see if the group was keeping up, and her eyes caught sight of Jordan leaning against the wall. “Someone want to help Jordan out?” she asked. The only reason she did was because they couldn’t afford to leave behind a witness.
"Excuse me! I dont need help. I'm not leaning on this wall because I'm hurt!" He yell whispers
Tempest walked over to Jordan and held out her hand. "Come on. We haven't got all day."
"Dude, just let someone help you." Isaac said, rolling his eyes.
"I dont need help!! I'm just waiting!! Everyone chill!" He stands straight, holding up his hands
"I'm gonna go take care of our guard, hurry up." Esme said, heading off quickly.
Tempest shook her hand. "Dude, just grab my hand!"
"Why the fuck-?!"
“Being helped isn’t a bad thing, Jordan,” Arme rolled her eyes, leaning against the wall to wait for Esme to finish her job. She didn’t prefer killing, but it’s what had to be done.
Talia watched as Esmeralda went off the take care of the guard. She leaned against the wall and looked around, wishing that she had a can of spray paint.
"You're doing the same thing I was! Waiting!"
"You know what? Fuck it. I try to be nice to you, but it blows up in my face everytime." Tempest dropped her arms to her sides and followed Esme. "Going to help her hide the body." She said, rubbing the side of her face.
Esme came back around the corner, bloody knife in hand and a scary smile on her face. "Cover your eyes if you're squeamish, kids."
“I’m not the one with a limp,” Arme snapped, sending a glare at Jordan. If he acted like this all the time, she wasn’t sure what would snap first; her patience or his neck. She turned to Esme then. “Good. We ready to go?”
