Miles went into his room and collected up all his gold and a few trinkets and stuff to sell, as well as his dagger. He threw on his cloak without an undershirt and headed to the door. "You almost ready?"

@gracehustle

"Yup, I'm ready," She put his clothes on his bed and put the pair that she was borrowing on hers, walking over to him quickly. "Let's get going," She said with a small smile.

Miles flew out the door and found the path into town. Maybe if I'm lucky this time we won't get mugged….
They went along the trail, finally making it back to the village in no time flat. He beckoned her to come with him, and they went off to the general store.
"Do you want to go and pick out some clothes or something while I sell my stuff?"

@gracehustle

Emmeline nodded "That would be nice, though I'm out of money," She looked around and shrugged "I can stay with you unless you don't want me to."

He sold what he had to the one guy first, then turned to her and said, "Alright. Just pick out whatever clothes you want and I'll buy them for you." Please let them be not the most expensive thing in the store…. Miles half pleaded.

@gracehustle

"Thanks Miles," She smiled and nodded to him before starting to look around, first for clothes that would actually fit her. A pair of gray pants caught her eye and she walked over to them, amazed to find that they looked like they would fit her.

Miles floated around behind her, seeing what kind of taste she had in clothes. I just need her to make a choice…. He rolled on his heels a little. Maybe I should buy something while I'm here. A new cloak? Some boots? A belt? The possibilities are endless here…. Yet I'm not the type who's keen on keeping their wardrobe updated….

@gracehustle

She grabbed the pair of pants and smiled, checking to make sure they weren't too expensive before going to find a shirt. She soon found a white shirt that was similar to the one she was originally wearing and she grabbed it as well, checking to make sure that t wasn't too expensive again.

Miles shifted on his hip. "You almost ready?" I suppose her taste isn't too bad after all… Yet we'll just have to see… "I'm ready to go, so… Whenever you are will be fine."

Miles beckoned her to the counter. "I see you have some…. Relatively good things picked out…." Like… Fashion sense. At least it ain't outta whack like some people…. He took her clothes to the counter and paid for them. "Now time to get outta this place…." He muttered lowly.

@gracehustle

She nodded "Where are we going next?" She asked, scooping the clothes back up once he had paid for them and laying them back over her arm.

"Well…. Where would you want to go? What would you want to do? I've been dragging you along all this time, I figure I'll be kind enough to have your own choice." He put his money on his hip and put his hands behind his back. "To the tavern, more shopping, gathering food or finishing the garden and shed – it's all up to you."

@gracehustle

"Gathering food and then finishing the garden and shed sounds good," She said, "Also, you haven't been dragging me along, the least I can do is let you decide since you've let me stay at your house for so long and you bought me clothes."

"Yeah, but I'm also not too keen on giving other people orders…" Miles muttered lowly, his face getting a bit red. Oh well… Let's just move on. He thought on his way out.

@gracehustle

She followed him out with a small smile, walking alongside him and looking around at the shops and people. She started humming lightly to herself, glancing up at him every so often.

Miles was walking home, noticing that she glanced at himf from time to time. “D-Do you need something?” He asked with a red face, slightly irritated. She keeps on looking at me like that…. Miles kept on going along though, not attracting too much attention to the two of them.

@gracehustle

"No, I'm just curious why you've let me stay so long, most people kick me out after a day or two," She looked at the ground and stopped humming, "It's kinda nice, being able to know that there's a roof over your head and a comfy bed to come back to."

Deleted user

But there’s no need to— “Why would poeple kick you out? I haven’t had company in years… since I began living by myself, I basically sorta isolated myself and lived off the land. So… it’s just the company I really want.” Miles’ cheeks tingled with redness. I have been lonely for some time…
They arrived back the house, and they were walking up to the door.

@gracehustle

Emmeline shrugged "Most of the time they just make up a random excuse," She looked up at him, "Living by yourself isn't the best, I know that for a fact."

“Yup, yup, yup….” He said quietly. But I don’t know how much of her I can take before I explode…. Miles used the key to get in the house, and he took off his cloak, laying it on the bed. “I’m sure it’s bad.” Because that’s what I’ve been doing nearly my entire life….

@gracehustle

She followed him in, sitting on her bed and laying the new clothes next to herself. "Should I start working on the garden again?" She asked, pointing outside and standing up.

Deleted user

“Go right ahead…” He muttered. “I’ll be right out to finish the shed….” There has to be somewhere we can go tonight…. get some more trinket-like stuff… become secretly filthy rich…. maybe. Miles shook his head. But if I’m right, tonight’s another of them full moons… nonetheless, I’ll have to sleep in tomorrow. That is, if Emmiline wants to do anything.

@gracehustle

She nodded and headed outside, starting to work on the garden again. She smiled softly as she worked, looking up at the sky and thinking about how much longer he would let her stay since she was basically just getting in the way.

Miles grabbed all his stuff and headed out to the partially build shed. “I’m glad this is all coming along nicely….” He said to himself quietly. He got to work in no time, setting up the ladder to finish the roof. It was a stretch, yet he was working hard and strong to get it done that evening.

@gracehustle

Emmeline smiled when she finally finished the garden, it wasn't the biggest or the best but it would work. She stood back and took a break as she nodded, "Not too bad," She told herself, going back to fix up a few patches here and there.

Miles continued to lay tarps over the roof frame, putting straw on it to cover it up. This is coming along a bit nicely…. He glanced down, seeing that Emmiline practically finished the garden. “That doesn’t look half bad,” He called down to her. “Tomorrow I might go to town to find seeds to get it started right away.” That’s what I should’ve gotten while we were still in town…

@gracehustle

She looked up at Miles and smiled "Thanks," Emmeline looked at the garden and nodded "If we get the seeds in quick enough, we could still get a harvest this year." She walked over to the shed and tapped part of the frame "Do you want me to help you build?" She asked.

Deleted user

“I think I’m almost done here….” He piled more straw on the roof, and before too long, it was covered. “There… All done.” Miles was coming down when his foot slipped off the ladder and he fell to the ground with a harsh thud. The pain was a quick pang, and his vision went dark really quick.

(Don’t worry he ain’t dead)

@gracehustle

(That's good)
Emmeline froze and quickly rushed over to him. She looked him over and shook his shoulder, "Miles?" She said to him, her eyes full of worry and panic, "Hey Miles? Are you ok?"
