"I could do that," She smiled lightly and nodded, standing up again. "Do you need anything else from town?" She asked, happy to be doing something helpful.
"I could do that," She smiled lightly and nodded, standing up again. "Do you need anything else from town?" She asked, happy to be doing something helpful.
Miles shrugged. "You can go and buy what you want, but I better have at least some money left." I know how girls can be with their shopping and stuff like that… He grumbled.
"I know, I know, I'm not going to go buy everything I see." She waved her had dismissively, "Whenever you give me money I'll go buy the seeds." She smiled.
He grabbed his coin sack from his belt sitting down next to his bed and tossed it to her. "Here. Just be back before I fall asleep, because tonight is one of those nights again." And I need to get to the shed before I destroy the house…
Emmeline nodded and put the sack of coins into her pocket, "I'll be right back, you won't even notice I'm gone." She smiled and walked to the door, waving to him before starting towards town.
Miles waved lazily back and when she was out of the house, let out a long groan. I can hardly take her anymore…. But I can't just… Stuff her somewhere back in an alley and leave her like none of this ever happened. He made a queasy face. But she's been here so long as just a stranger who tried to steal my stuff that it's awkward…
Emmeline walked to town quickly, a small smile on her face as she entered one of the shops and started looking for seeds. She kept a hand on the bag of money and made sure that it was there at all times, not wanting to make Miles mad for losing the money.
Miles stayed in bed and ruffled his hair. Ugh… I should take a shower soon…. Maybe once she comes back… He picked at his fingernails and glanced around the room a little. There wasn't much to do since she was out and about.
She found the seeds after a few minutes of searching and took the packages she needed, paying for them and starting to head back for his house in no time. The woods was quiet and Emmeline smiled, enjoying the silence as she neared the house and walked inside, "I'm back," She said, setting the seeds on the table.
"Welcome back," He groaned loudly, letting it out in one big breath. Glad to see she's on one piece….
"I'll plant the seeds tomorrow." She walked over to her bed and sat down, humming quietly and swinging her legs as she debated whether or not to bed right now.
Miles growled and sat up. "I have a quick question for you…." He rubbed his hands. "Was there anyone you got along with when you were out living your awkward theif life?" There has to be someone…. Or did she actually manage it alone for all these years?
She thought about it for a minute, shaking her head after a while, "Not really, though I don't know what you would consider getting along with someone." She looked at the ground and then up at him, "Why do you ask?…Do you want me to leave? Because you could just tell me."
Miles glared at her. "Keep bringing up that idea and I will kick you out. Maybe I should've asked this – Why the hell are you so tense about me kicking you out of my house or more importantly bringing it in yourself???"
Emmeline looked back at the floor and went quiet before answering, "Because I like it here, I'm afraid that I'm being too pushy and needy and that you're getting sick of me. I've never stayed anywhere this long and frankly, I'm starting to get attached to this place and you." she said the last part quietly, slightly embarrassed.
He flashed a quick grin but was ultimately upset. "Well the harder you try and the more anxious you are about it the worse it'll be for you." She's being far too uptight about this.
She nodded and continued to look at the floor, debating whether to leave or not since he seemed very annoyed with her. Emmeline laid down on her bed and looked at the ceiling, doing her best not to look over at Miles and ask him exactly what he thought of her and if he really wanted her gone.
Mile got off the bed and stood up, cringing at the sparks of pain in his legs. "I don't mean to be harsh, but you just need to chill out. If I need you to do something, I'll let you know."
He thumped down into the bathroom and closed the door, getting the tub filled with warm water.
Emmeline sighed and rubbed her eyes, blowing out a slow breath and nodding. "I'm going to go outside for a little bit, it helps me calm down." She said, not knowing if he heard her or not as she slipped outside and sat in the grass.
Miles sat in the tub undressed and sighed. Nothing like sitting in a warm tub…. He sank down a little, scrubbing his hair. He sat there for a bit and let out a breath. So… She said she didn't want to leave, huh?…. He scanned the curtain and the wall. Because she was attached? To my house??? To me????…. He shrugged but clearly felt his face get red. Damn… I bet she's on to something.
"Stupid.." She muttered to herself, laying down in the grass and looking up at sky, her arms behind her head. "Should've just kept my mouth shut." She closed her eyes and took a breath in, slowly opening her eyes again.
Miles couldn't really imagine that she thought of him in that way. Did she? Who knows. He folded his arms and tried to hide his face, although he was hopefully the only one in the bathrub. Who cares. Maybe it just came out accidentally…. Or maybe it didn't. Miles growled and shook his head. We'll see in a little bit when I come out.
She sat up and stretched her arms out before standing up. Emmeline debated taking a walk in the woods but decided against it, opting to check out the shed he built instead.
Miles washed the rest of himself, really concerning himself about how he looked when he climbed out. I was fine before, I'm fine now. He dried himself off and threw his pants back on before heading back to his room.
He noticed she wasn't there and he got a bit concerned. "Emmiline???" He called.
Nothing.
Hm. He glanced out the window and saw her looking at his shed. Oh… There she is. He sat there at the ledge and leaned on it, watching her.
Emmeline looked up at the roof curiously. She already knew how he had built it since she watched him, but it still intrigued her and she studied it carefully. The braces that held up the roof were also quite interesting to her and she rocked on her toes, taking a step back to look at it from a distance. She wasn't aware in the least that Miles was watching her either.
Miles just watched her. What the heck is she doing looking at the shed??? He flinched. Damn!!! I almost forgot!!! Tonight is one of those nights!!! He got himself outside quickly as he began to take on that form once again.
She spun around and jumped slightly, seeing Miles transform. Emmeline watched from a distance, unsure of what to do.
When Miles was finished doing what needed to be done, he stretched out like a dog and headed over to the shed. He sat outside the door and glared at Emmiline. "I'll be going to sleep here." He shook his head and neck to shift his fur around. "You can sleep inside….." It's the whole point as to why I built this shed anyways…..
"Ok, I'll grab you a blanket quick though, you'll need one when you transform back." She looked up at him and jogged to the house, grabbing a blanket and setting it by his feet with a small smile, "Goodnight Miles," She said, walking towards the house again.
He let out a low huff and opened the door up before grabbing the blanket and carefully shutting himself in. "Goodnight…." He said lowly before curling up and covering just part of his back and shoulder with the blanket.
