"Oh he's- I mean I'm sure. I'm very sure." Soren grinned brightly, pushing his hair out of his face, unaware that they were both completely black. "You think so little of yourself, and I can't blame you, but try to see that there are positive things about you."
"When did you become the sentimentalist?" Jessop snorted, bursting out into laughter. "Dude you're a riot."
"Yeah yeah.." Soren shrugged.
Arthur looked away at that, thinking.

"Will you shut up already?" Muttered Arthur under his breath.
"Gladly!" Soren sighed, knowing Arthur was speaking to Discordion. "It hurt to say that anyways."
He smirked, his eye twitching as a shadow crawled across the table.
Jessop leaned back against the wall, huffing, rubbing the back of his head. "Man, demons are so confusing, so glad I'm not one."
"What did you say?" Soren turned to him with a stern expression.
"N-nothing!"
Arthur tensed a little, "trust me demons can't be the most confusing species in the world." He said. that means you in particular!
"They are." Jessop sat forward, deep in thought. "You have so many variants of demons since some of them mix breed, which means there are going to be demons that we haven't even discovered yet, with powers that no one has even heard of, and that's just going to throw a spanner in the works because all the book will have to be changed. Then there's the fact the fact that some of them breed with humans to create halflings, they are the most dangerous ones because not only can they fool you into thinking they are human, but also their powers are a little more harder to control due to their body not necessarily having the strength to harness them."
"God Jess…. When you put it like that, I sound like the outcast." Soren chuckled sadly, pushing his plate away having lost his appetite.
"Hey at least you dont have to deal with spirits and nightmares" said Arthur "cause those are nasty too"
"He has no idea who I am." Soren whispered, almost hissed, to Jessop. The other seemed to take this as a warning to back down from the situation, despite how much he really didn't want to.
"So.. Arthur.." Jessop sighed. "What are your powers?"
"Chaos Magic" said Arthur "rare enough that they don't even have a class for me"
"What animated series did they pick him out from?" Jessop turned away from Arthur with a disgusted expression on his face.
That's what I said! Glad to know I'm not the only one!

Arthur glared at him. Finishing his lunch he flicked his finger and it vanished. "I dont suggest messing with me" he said firmly, almost threateningly.
"Oh I would never dream of it, I only have weak light magick. But I'd love to see the two of you two up at each other's throats." Jessop had a sh!t-eating grin spread across his lips but he shrugged and shook his head. "Guess I got no hope of that though."

great.. a light elemental… thought Arthur, instinctively edging away from him.
"Probably not" said Arthur, "I really dont need to get in trouble right now."
Did Arthur just move away from Jess? Is he afraid of him..?
"Agreed.." Soren put his head down on the table with a groan. "Do I have to go to the rest of my umbrakinesis class?"
"Probably" said Arthur, "and it shouldn't be that hard. Especially since things were sorted out with the professors."
(Im assuming you meant the one with Arthur right?)

"Yeah but I already wasted an hour of it sleeping, so what's the point on doing anything now?"
"Soren you know it's important you do this." Jessop warned. "Hey you don't want to become fully human do you?" Jessop warned."
"Guess not.."
Though I wouldn't have to worry about accidentally killing anyone if I did..
"Hey, better that than anything else" said Arthur that and my hide might be on the line if you dont
"Besides, I don't think we need anymore trouble"

"Agreed. So, we going out again today?" he winked, causing Jessop to frown in confusion.
"Yeah but remember what we talked about earlier" said Arthur, resisting the urge to laugh.
"We meet up, work out a schedule with the prof, have a bit of fun and go from there." Soren's voice deepened when his shadow spoke, hopefully it wasn't that noticable. He rose from his seat and slipped an arm around Arthur. "You ready to go?"
He could see Jessop's eyes widening, hundreds of thoughts probably running through the halfling's mind.
"We meet up after next period and go till dusk." Said Arthur "i already worked out the schedule with the professors"
be wary of him arthur said Discordion, having noticed the change in Soren's voice.
"Well aren't you prepared." Soren rolled his completely black eyes, his arm dropping. "I guess I'll be seeing you later." He slid a quick wink to Arthur and blew a kiss with two fingers to Jessop as he left the food hall and made his way to his umbrakinesis class with the professor.
You need to stop being so flirty, people find it creepy.

Arthur watched him with a slight frown.
Noted he said to Discordion as he got up tohead to his dark mystics class.
Be wary of him. He's definitely done something with his shadow.

During the class, Soren refused to let his shadow take control, and so could only manipulate the shadows to a small degree. He sat in silence, staring at the clock up on the wall. As soon as the clock struck 12 he was out of the room.
You stay out of it unless I tell you to, got that?

Arthur headed straight for the meeting point after class, That was boring…. he moaned to himself.

Stay out of my thoughts replied Arthur as he reached the clearing in the trees.
Soren was already waiting in the clearing, leaning on a tree with his arms crossed. His eyes were back to normal, but his shadow was still missing from visible view. He had a bright grin that reached his eyes, and waved slightly as Arthur made his way over.
"You ready to get started? I don't know how much control I will have over the shadows so don't expect much progress from yesterday."
"Right, but first we need to talk about that shadow of yours" said Arthur, one eyebrow raised, "If there's something up I wanna know, especially since one wrong move could spell major trouble for both of us."
"Nothing is up, why do you ask?" Soren frowned, tilting his head curiously. "My shadow is.. the same as always? Nothing's really changed? I don't know what you want me to say honestly."
"Soren" Arthur frowned.
Discordion appeared behind him, watching Soren curiously.
"Right now I can't even see your shadow" he said pointing to the ground around Soren, "What did you do?"
