Today was the day, school was finally starting. Today of all days, genderfluidity had really decided to kick L in the butt. And that’s how she found herself nearly stabbing her eye out in an attempt to get her makeup on in time.

There were three quick knocks on the door before it was flung open, Rook sauntering in and looking like she hadn't slept at all. "You almost ready?"

“Yeah gimme a second Rookie.” Thank God, she actually finished and managed to not stab her eye out and look good at the same time. “You look like hell” she said bluntly.

"Gee, thanks. Nightmare's kick my ass all night and now this." She said sarcastically, flopping onto L's bed.

“You are quite welcome.” She hummed in reply before turning around. She hadn’t felt like a girl since before she met Rook so this would be Rook’s first time seeing her like this.

"You look pretty, by the way. Today feelin' like a chick day?" Rook rolled over to look at her, smiling.

“Yup. Thanks for noticing.” She actually smiled. “For once my body decided to match with my feelings. Or is it vice versa. Who cares.” She laughed quietly.

"The stars aligned?" She offered.

“Yup. Anyway I suppose we should get headed to hell then shouldn’t we?”

Rook let out a dramatically long groan and flopped off the bed onto the floor. "Do we have to?"

“Yes Rookie we have to. I didn’t get up this early for nothing. Now let’s go before my room is thoroughly infected with your germs.”

"The term is cooties, excuse you." She huffed, standing up and pouting. "Ugh. I'm just glad I don't have to navigate this bullshit alone."

“And you’re blessed with someone as awesome as me. You’re welcome. Shall we then?” She asked, offering her arm.

Rook hooked her arm through L's happily. "True! So, what's the first class on today's agenda?"

“Lemme check. I think it’s just mythological history. Like human history except what actually happened.”

"That's either gonna be boring as hell or super interesting."
