Arthur pulled away, "I take it you have issues with the shadows too huh?" he said with a weak smirk. Don't pass out again Arthur came the warning tone from Discordion. Oh shut it

"Only my own shadow… He thinks.. He says that he can master my power for me so that I can be stronger… He's never had control of my body before…" Soren frowned, a strange feeling ran through his body when he looked at Arthur but he shook it off. "I think you need to return to normal before you end up like passing out or something."

"I'm fine" said Arthur, 'I need to master it anyway" he stood up, careful not to lose his balance due to the extra weight of the wings. Holding a hand out to Soren, he smiled. "So your shadow thought I'd be easy to beat?"

Soren slowly took Arthur's hand, his own shaking with nerves. "He's holding back, he's holding back because I don't want you to be killed."
I can make Arthur forget me… Forget everything that just happened..
"I'm sorry, I put you, and potentially myself, in danger. This won't be reported back to the professor right?"

"Nah!" said Arthur, "I'm not gonna tell, why would I?"
Careful, he has mental powers! came Discordion's warning,
"and don't you worry, We can still work through this alright?"

"Alright…" Soren took a deep breath, putting on a frustrated smile. "Damn it, there goes my nonchalant persona. Don't tell anyone you saw me cry alright, it would ruin my reputation."
I need to be careful, Discordion could prove to be an obstacle if I were to try and make Arthur forget me…

"Everyone cries sometime!" laughed Arthur, "Even me…." he said it with a flat tone. "Do you wanna try again or take a break and head back to the school?"

"I think we should take a break, if we are gone for too long someone might get suspicious." He sighed, sweeping his hair back into a small bun, his fringe still covering his black eye. "What lessons do you go to then, because I didn't think there was a Chaos magic class."

"Currently it's mystics…" said Arthur, "but I've had shifters, astral, darkness, and music,"

"Those sound like fun classes. Definitely better than mine." He chuckled, heading back to the school.
What am I going to do if he shifts into a wolf right next to me, I don't know how my allergies will be able to take that!
"So… Do you have any friends here that you can talk to when you're bored or whatnot?"
Great, now he's going to think you're boring for asking such a basic question.

"I usually avoid people actually," said Arthur letting his power subside, causing his wings to vanish.

"I see… So does that mean I can't ask to stay with you?" A sly smile grew on his lips before he shrugged and glanced away. "Well it's fine with me if not, my pals would probably start harassing you anyways."

"the only reason I do is cause most people think I'm a weirdo before I can even say anything…" said Arthur sheepishly.
"That and he's forgotten how to socialize" said Discordion as he materialized off to the side.
"WILL YOU STAY OUT OF MY LIFE!!!" yelled Arthur with annoyance.
"I can't" said Discordion mildly, "you know that!"

"They think you're a weirdo because you have a habit of just staring out of the window. They don't know who you are so they don't know that you're better off in the wild." he glanced at Discordion. "I'd like to see you try and socialise. Put yourself in his shoes and you'll see how hard it is,, especially when no one wants to make the effort to speak to you."

"Actually he can't do that unless I let him" said Arthur flatly. "otherwise he relies on the strength of my power to even make an appearance."
Discordion nodded in assent and promptly vanished.

"I see." He nodded, staying silent for a moment. "So is that a yes or no to staying with you?"

"Sure if you want" said Arthur, morphing the blade back into a wristband, "But you can't tell anyone about my wristband ok? And definitely don't mention Discordion."

"Why would I?" He sighed, shoving his hands into his pockets as they made their way into the building. "You hungry?"

"Always" said Arthur following him back a bit reluctantly.

"You seem hesitant, what's the matter?" Soren nudged him gently with his shoulder. "You're not missing the forest already are you?"

"It's where I was born, and it's where I belong" said Arthur "I can't help it"

"I understand.." They went back to the food hall. When Seron picked up something small he scanned the room. No one grabbed his attention, none of his own friends were there, so he turned to Arthur. "This is going to sound a little off but do you wanna come to my room? I don't feel like staying in here, it's too loud."

"Sure" said Arthur, not particularly wanting to be around this many people anyway.

"Great!" He took Arthur's hand and pulled him through the school halls, to the east wing dormitories. He pushed open a door and entered the dark room. "It's not much but make yourself at home."
Inside the room was a single bed in the corner, a dest and chair by the window on the wall opposite the door, a plump armchair in the corner opposite the bed, and a chest of drawers next to the door. Ornaments and books dotted shelves around the room and a photo of Soren and his family sat on the desk. He untied a pouch from his waist and threw it on his bed as he sank into it, staring up at Arthur. "Come sit down."

Arthur leaned against the wall, "I'm good," he said, "But don't you have more interesting people to hang out with?"

"Hardly. I think you're a very interesting being. Can you tell me something about your past?" He tossed the pouch between his hands, keeping his eyes focussed on Arthur.

Arthur's went dark at that, "I'd prefer to keep that on the low down…" he said, "Not just for my own preference but also because I have no idea what the government of this country would do to me if they knew the truth…"

"The government doesnt have to know anything, but i understand." He leaned on the wall behind his pillow, crossing his legs. "I didn't see this happening, did you expect anything like this to happen? What we did in the forest i mean."

"Not really," said Arthur, "Heck I never even expected to hafta go to school"

"Why's that? Everyone is expected to go to school in order to learn to control their powers.. Why are you different?" He stopped tossing the pouch, allowing it's contents to fall out onto his covers. He didn't look at them, he didn't want to look, so he kept his eyes on Arthur.
