"Rapper. I can't hit enough high notes to be a female artist." She laughed at her own joke.
"Rapper. I can't hit enough high notes to be a female artist." She laughed at her own joke.
"Oh shoot. I'm trying out for the Rapper spot too." Indigo said, her smile fading just a bit. She would hate for either one of the to go because there weren't enough positions in the group.
(i thought she was a vocalist)
"Well, I'm rooting for both of us!" She grinned, attempting to cheer up Indigo a bit.
((my brain skipped over the positions part and i ended up just randomly filling it in, and then when i read over it i was conflicted, lol
"Heh, yeah." Indigo said, her smile falling. She knew that even though there were both friendly, one of them would have to go and she needed this position.
"Subject change. Why are you trying out?"
"Well for one, it would look awesome on college applications and probably get me a nice scholarship. And two, I love music and what I do so to be able to do what I love and get paid for it is a dream come true." She answered in one breath.
"So, kind of a nerd then?" Holly said, walking into the room. Her smiling eyes showed that she was only teasing.
Cecilia laughed. "Wow. Those are really good reasons."
Indigo looked up to the newcomer and smiled back. "Well, if I want to keep doing what I'm doing, getting a degree sure helps a lot." She replied. She then turned back to Cecilia. "What about you?"
Holly sat on a chair, opening a random magazine and snapping her gum. She wasn't actually reading, jut passing the time.
Her smile faltered for a split second, but was back just as quick. "Just trying to get away from my family. Feeling…suffocated, I guess."
"Oh, I can't say I can relate but I understand." She said, placing a gentle hand on her knee. "It's like a safe haven. Music for me." She adds.
Cecilia tensed at the hand on her knee, but relaxed after a few moments. "Place where you can get away from whatever's happening in the now?"
"Yup," She answered, removing her hand slightly after saying it so it didn't turn awkward.
"Man, you're cool, I really hope you get this part." She grinned at Indigo.
"Attention, please!" a woman called, walking into the large entry hall. Her voice immediately caught everyone else's notice. "My name is Adina Retton, and I will be your dance trainer for the next couple of months." She explained the rest of the rules and started to hand out maps of the building. "Now, I will be separating you into your teams, which were chosen based on your different skill levels so that all of the teams are about equal. When I call your name, please stand right next to me. Holly Bounderby?" she called.
Holly stood up and walked to the woman, trying not to shiver.
Seohyun almost gave her an encouraging smile, but then remembered that this girl was competition and turned away.
Indigo directed her attention to the woman that just came out. She listened to the directions that she said before waiting for her name to be called.
Cecilia tapped her fingers, playing invisible piano keys as she listened to the woman.
"Cecilia Freebird…"
She jumped up, grabbing her bag and hurrying over, shooting a wink back at Indigo.
"Rapper. I can't hit enough high notes to be a female artist." She laughed at her own joke.
(hey if you're a rapper, can you change your position on your form real quick?)
((asdfdsasd i forgot about that yea gimme two secs
"Indigo Wilder," the woman said, "and lastly, Sera Ahn."
"Seohyun," Seohyun muttered, but it was so quiet that only a couple people heard. Well, at least I made it in.
There were many murmurs of Two rappers and two singers? What about the dancers?
Cecilia bounced on the balls of her feet, grinning wildly. Thank god.
When Indigo heard her name, she calmly took her bag and walked over, silently containing her excitement.
Cecilia shot her a smile and a supportive nod, still bouncing.
((bump?
