Maggie turned and saw two Very strange sights: Leon, Eleanor, and Jamie all huddled together on the floor, Eleanor and Leon seemingly trying to calm Jamie out of something, and Sam talking to a police officer, obviously upset. Maggie tried to feel if there was anything wrong with Jamie, but before she could even try to use her powers again, she made eye contact with him. They weren't his eyes. Jamie's eyes were calm, kind brown. These eyes were sharp, merciless, piercing blue eyes. Like ice. She slowly walked towards the group huddled together, they were obviously trying to hide something from the officers. She couldn't feel anything wrong with Jamie, other than a dark, jerky cloud of inky blackness in his chest.Panic. She was positive no one else could see it. Maggie wordlessly sank to her knees next to Jamie and found that he was radiating a unnaturally cold body temperature. Her hand glowed warmly, itching to help anything. However, the only thing Maggie could push herself to do was hold Jamie's stone like hands and hope for the better as he tried to calm down.

"Yes, it'd probably be a good idea to get away," Leon agreed. He tried to stand up again, but was hit with a wave of feverishness and dizziness. For a minute, he thought he was going to faint, so he sat back down.

Sam talked really fast now. "Ma'am, I think the shooter went that way!" They pointed to the hall opposite from Jamie. "Maybe we can find some more injured students! Let's hurry, before they die of blood loss!"

Maggie smiled at Eleanor. " I can help distract the officers with Sam and you guys can escape. But, I need you to do it very specifically at my instructions." She turned her head to the police officers. "When I stand up, I'm going to scoot this table over to block you guys and I am going to run at the police officers frantically. When I do that, you guys run as fast as you can behind all the bookshelves. Go to the back of the library and exit through there. Then go to the parking lot, you will find a large white van with a Iron Man decal on the back. That is my car. I want you to climb inside it and hide until I get to you. We will decide what to do then. Understood?"

"No. Does it look like I have a gun to you? I am going to start questioning the officers like their about to die and I'm the CIA. They will be too distracted to notice you guys."

"There have been student shooters before, the IDs not going to do anything. We're all going to look suspicious running out of the library. You need to be careful."

"Ready?" Maggie asked and prepared herself while all of the student nodded their heads."Go." She stood up rather abruptly and pretended to hit one of the fold able tables in frustration as she sprinted to the officer. She could just make out the sound of their hurried footsteps as she started yelling at the officers. "Hey OFFICER BARNES, COOPER, AND GRANT! Margarita Pit, student press, can you tell me anything about the event that just took place here at our humble school? How many people were injured? Dead? Is there any evidence of the shooter? Was The shooter Male, female? Do we Have a description?" She trailed on and on, unrelentingly firing questions at the multiple officers, taking out a notepad and pen, pretending to write things as the officers stumbled for words.

(Was that… a Marvel reference?)Sam gave Maggie a thumbs up, mouthing, That's my cue to go. They snuck outside quietly to the van.

THERE WAS LITERALLY JUST A SCHOOL SHOOTING AT MY SCHOOL AND WE DON"T KNOW WHERE THE SHOOTER IS, THERE ARE MULTIPLE DEAD AND INJURED STUDENTS, THE LIBRARY IS DESTROYED, AND I'M PRETTY 100% SURE THAT WE DON'T HAVE THE FUNDING TO FIX ALL THAT RIGHT NOW! So, OFFICER GRANT, I will not step away from the crime scene until I. Get. The. Answers. I. Deserve." Maggie gave the officer the look that said'I have rights, you know'

" Listen, kid, we don't have all the answers, okay? We just showed up on an emergency call to the school proclaiming there was a school shooting, we arrived and waited for the paramedics. All we know is that there is a loose shooter and citizens around the area should be on high alert and security. So if you could just-"
"Hmm, well, it sucks to be you wangrods I guess. You should get this sorted out before any of the big guns show up." With that, she winked and smiled cockily, turned on her heel, and ran out the door and to the parking lot to her car.
