"What?!" He hisses back

"Shut up!" she repeated.

Jackson shuts his mouth for 5 seconds before he whispers, "Ya know… being to son of Hawkeye. You'd think that I'd see this guy."

Kate was aiming her gun. "Would you shut up!" she hissed and pulled the trigger. The HYDRA man collapsed.

"Cold blood. Jeez." He stands from the snowbank

"We need to get into the base," she snapped. "Got any other plans?"

"Hell nah. Just go busting through front doors." He was joking of coarse but his mind wasn't there at all due to the blow earlier

SHe scoffed. "Some plan. Follow my lead."

Jackson groans dramatically but follows after her

Kate slipped through the snow expertly, checking behind her every couple steps to make sure Jackson was following.

"I'm coming. I'm coming." He had noticed her checking. He slides down a short embankment

They reached the base, and there was a door on the side of the building. "Ugh, I had supplies for this on the jet…" she muttered,

Jackson didnt say a word but aimed his gun at the lock. He opens fire and with one shot the door swings open, "Ladies first."

"You're too kind," she muttered and stepped inside.

"You think too much." He sighs, walking in after her

Kate raised her gun as she rounded a corner. "Sometimes that's a good thing," she muttered.

"Not always." He passes her, walking in the middle of the hallway

"What are you doing?" she hissed.

"Not being careful. " He says simply but his finger curles around the trigger of his sniper

"And you say I'm the idiot," she mumbled to herself. "Stop!"

"Stop what?" He whispers

"Stop being an idiot!" she snarled, keeping her gun ready.

"It defines who I am!" He calls back

"Your dead body's about to define who you are," she muttered under her breath. She turned another corner and shot a HYDRA guard before he even realized she was there.

Jackson's mind was basically the loading circle of death, "Huh? Well one thing is for sure. I'm not my dad." He says the last part under his breath

Kate heard. "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked, turning another sharp corner quickly.

"What do you think?" Jackson snarls. He was now taking more precautions through the halls

She briefly lowered her gun and looked at him. "What do you think of your father?" she asked softly.

"You already asked that. I respect him. He is cool. He's a good dad but… Since he is an Avenger other people think that I should be the same." He leans on the side of a wall, clicking out his sniper magazine to check it.

"I don't think that," she replied quietly. A man ran down the hall behind her and shot at Kate. The bullet clipped her shoulder. "Damn!" she yelled, firing back. She hit him perfectly in the chest. "Damn," she repeated, grimacing slightly.
