"No," she argued. "I'm going too. And how am I supposed to not look?!"

"You. Stay. Too injured." He snarls.

"I'm not!" she insisted.

"Yes you are. Stop being your mom."

That caught Kate relatively off-guard. "What?"

"At some point you need to wake up, get out of your head and badassery, and see what is really going on!" He snaps.

She felt herself weaken at his words. They struck deeper than he knew. Ever since she was little, all she ever wanted to do was be like the strong women she'd heard about – Natasha Romanoff, Wanda Maximoff, Peggy Carter, to name a few. But most importantly, Kate had dreamed of growing up to become her mother. Maria was everything Kate aspired to be, and now, she was so close and was being told it was a dream. She pressed her back against the wall and slid down to sit. "Go. Complete the mission. I'll wait." Her voice was thick.

Jackson was slightly taken a back, "Really?" He sighs, dropping the sniper beside her with her belt with the rest of the magazines. He pulls the odd cylinder from the belt along with a blue glowing thing, "Captain, it's by my genuine pleasure." He flicks his arm forward and his father's bow sligshots into place.

Captain…? "Jackson, don't get yourself killed," she ordered.

"Aw. You didn't get the quote!" He smiles. The blue, glowing thing expands into a quiver of arrows.

She rolled her eyes, the sentence clicking in her mind. "Okay, fine, I get it. You're hilarious. But I'm being serious!"

"Dad. Woo!" He ruffles her head, "I'll be fine."
(Last words. ANGST!!)

She smoothed her hair and grabbed his wrist. "Don't do that again, unless you want a broken arm."

"Try me. He challenges." He stands and jogs down the hall.

Kate watched him go. "Don't kill yourself, remember?" she said into her communicator.

Jackson laughs into it, "I'll be fine."

(LAST WORDS TO HER!)

(NOOOO DON'T KILL HIM!)

"I mean it, Jackson," she replied hotly.

Jackson doesn't respond. He had stopped smiling and was finally finding things serious. He was weaving his way toward the famous part where the Tesseract once was in WW2 (Or WW1…)

(WW2 ;D)

Kate heard footsteps coming up the hall. "Great," she muttered, fingering her gun.

(Oh ok. I forgot.)

Jackson trots into the snowy and dilapidated lab. He takes an arrow from his quiver and holds it up with the bow, scanning the place.

Several HYDRA agents charged towards her. "Dammit!" she muttered and fired, taking out the first two.

(Greeaat ok)

Jackson looks around slowly before noticing a few, blue screened computers

Suddenly a voice spoke to him in German over the communicator: "Hör auf dich zu bewegen oder das Mädchen stirbt. Hail HYDRA!"

(I don't speak German, I put it into Google Translate… so, btw, this is what it says: Stop moving now or the girl dies.)

(I speak German and that is pretty close. You're fine XD

Jackson shrieks aloud. He wasn't expecting anything from his communicator

"Willst du, dass sie tot ist?!"
Kate tried to fight against them, but the men held her down. One of them had a hand over her mouth and was pushing her head against the wall mercilessly.

(Grammar. It's fine.)

Jackson couldn't see what was going on but had a good feeling.

(I'm sorry! I speak French, not German…)

Kate bit the man's hand heavily. He pulled back and she yelled, "Jackson, run! Finish the mission! Go – Captain's orders!" She added the last part just for him.
