Jay put his hands up slowly then jumped out the window and landed perfectly. Though it took him a second to recover, because he didn't do this often. When he stood up he pulled out his phone and called his dad but of course it went to voicemail.
Without hesitation, Kate followed him, landing perfectly. She aimed her gun, but still couldn't seehis face. "Freeze."
Jay knew that she would probably shoot him if he tried to run so slowly he slipped his phone back in his pocket.
"Turn around," she demanded, holding her gun steady.
Jay sighed and turned around and looked towards the ground.
Kate faltered for a second, recognizing the familiar face through the mask. "Jay?"
"Fuck." He mumbled under his breath. "Yeah…. Um…. Maybe." He replied.
Vanessa smiled sadly ¨Brink never change you I love you you for you no matter what they say¨ she said.
"What are you doing here?" She noticed the file in his hands. "And what's that?" Stupid question – she knew.
"I have to go." He said and slowly stepped back. he wanted to run for his car but he didn't want to chance it.
"Jay, don't make me shoot you. Drop the file and you can go."
"What the hell is the big thing about this file. Like that is the big deal ab-" he stopped mid sentence because his phone was ringing. He put up a finger to wait.
"Hello?" Jay asked then realized it was his dad. "Oh heyyyyyy dad. Yeah I um got a file." He sighed. "Yes it is the one that you asked for. I will be dropping it off in a hour or so." He waited a second as his dad talked. "No I haven't been caught." He sighed and listened to his dad's fundamentals of breaking and entering.
( Hey i'm alive whats going on?? )
Vanessa smiled sadly ¨Brink never change you I love you you for you no matter what they say¨ she said.
He glanced at her and smiled "and you do the same kitty." he leaned in close "you're going to lose your lives because of me," he whispered
¨It´ll be worth it¨ she said.
He shook his head "yes you are."
Vanessa raised her eyebrow with a smirk.
"What?" he asked, challengingly, smirking back

Kate arched her eyebrows, listening to his side of the conversation.
"Dad, I have to go. I will get it to you later." he said then hung up. "Sorry about that." he said meaning he was sorry he got a call. "So…."
"Drop it," she commanded, pointing her gun at him. "Now."
"What?" he asked, challengingly, smirking back
¨Nothing nothing¨ she said with a smile.
"Drop it," she commanded, pointing her gun at him. "Now."
"Drop the file?" He asked. He didn't understand why it was so important, though he didn't even know what was on it.

"Drop the file?" He asked. He didn't understand why it was so important, though he didn't even know what was on it.
"What else would I be asking you to drop?" she asked annoyedly. "Matt's in that house right now, and I don't think you'd like to cross paths with him again. Drop the file and I'll let you go, I promise."
"Alright, but I would need you to keep him distracted for at least 15 minutes. I didn't drive here…." He said then put down the file.
As he put down the file, she lowered her gun until she was aiming at the ground. "What do you need me to?"
"I need you to keep him distracted for a little while. I have to walk to my car that is down the street a bit and it will take like 15 minutes. you can let him go in 15 minutes. I'll keep my head down when I walk home. I just need 15 minutes." Jay said.
"15 minutes, got it. Wait," she cut into her own sentence. "He's coming here?"
"No, you just said Matt was in there. Just distract him while I walk away." Jay responded.
"Okay, I will. Hurry," she urged. She picked up the file and nodded for him to go.
