“I don’t know what you’re trying to imply,” Thatcher said in a level tone. “I have somewhere to be, it was great to talk,” he added, stepping around her.
“I don’t know what you’re trying to imply,” Thatcher said in a level tone. “I have somewhere to be, it was great to talk,” he added, stepping around her.
She raised an eyebrow and took a puff off her vape pen. "I'll come with you." she said.
"And you know exactly what I mean."
“You aren’t coming with me. You are a stranger and appear to be like a child,” Thatcher said, an annoyed edge in his tone as he made his way through the crowds.
"And you're a big guy." she countered. "I should be the one who's afraid of you. I'm a fucking kid apparently."
(Sorry. She does that.)
(I've added a rule to the first post,
“I said you look like a kid. All I’m doing is trying to head back to my home,” Thatcher sighed. “I don’t need a little shadow trailing me.”
She looked at him, her eyes mocking. "Of course."
Thatcher shook his head slowly. He continued to walk, still pushing his way through the crowd as he walked.
Sophia disappeared. In her place was a skinny, hairless cat. The cat discreetly followed him.
Aria yawned, plopping down in her seat at the shooting range's employee lounge. She had to teach classes today, but she had a bit of time before that. She could have thought about what she was going to teach them, but her mind went back to the strange events earlier in the day.
James walked up to the guy who he thought was a forest sprite. He gave them a wave and sat next to them on the bench, "Hello stranger."
Having been staring blankly at the passing people, Sariel hadn't noticed that someone had sat down beside him until they had said something. Looking over, he saw that it had been the person on the train with the pointed ears. "Oh, hello," Sariel said, taking notice of the fact that the man had put up his hood. Hiding them, maybe?
James glanced around. He doubted anyone was actually listening, and might as well ask. If not he would be wondering for the rest of the day. Got to be tactful about this, "Sooo, how do you feel about forests?"
Turning to face the stranger, and not thinking much about the question, Sariel began speaking. "Oh, I actually really like them. I don't really live near any though. Not anymore; I really just keep plants now…" Towards the end of what he had been saying, Sariel trailed off slightly, finally thinking about the question a bit more.
James didn't deflate yet. there was still hope, but either way they liked forests. Which meant plants, which meant nature. James looked over at him, "Really? That's nice."
Sariel nodded and faced forward again, sitting with his hands still in his pockets. "Yeah, there are always parks and things, but those are different." He added, having yet to notice the weeds and grass that had been springing out of the cracks under the bench.
James spotted the plants growing underneath the bench. Strange, but he was putting the puzzle together. He nodded along, "Yeah, they are way different."
Sariel stayed quiet for a few seconds, then glanced under the bench through the holes that were covering the surface of it. That's great, I can't even sit down without something like that happening. He probably hasn't noticed though, it's a crack in the ground. Plants grow out of things like that regularly.
"How come you've got your hood up? Not that it's a problem or anything, it's just that it's not like it's raining or snowing outside."
What I saw could've been from almost anything. But those are odd questions for someone to be asking, considering what I thought I saw. Aren't elves small though?
"I have this thing that if the sun hits my head I go all weird" James used the usual lie slipping off easily. Normally it was so out there no one bothered to question it, or just didn't feel like it, "Did you dye your hair? It looks nice."
Sariel nodded to what the stranger had said. But his hair would keep that from happening, right? He wondered, not bothering to say it. "Yeah, actually, I usually keep it dyed." He said, casting around for hair colors he had seen before, in the event he was to be asked. Blonde. Lots of people have that as a natural color, right?
Meanwhile, the grasses and weeds that were once short and hard to notice, had reached Sariel's feet. Standing up, he scraped them back under the bench with one of his shoes.
"I'm sorry, I've gotta go somewhere." He said, regretting the fact that he hadn't bothered to check a clock or something before jumping off the bench. "It was nice meeting you," Sariel added, before looking at the sign above the exit to make sure it was the right one and jogging up the stairs.
He was probably lying about the hood.
James sighed but he had noticed the heavy growth that had happened. He was totally a forest sprite. James smirked slightly before walking up and heading along to his job. He wasn't that far and should get their with plenty of time to spare.
( @"Honey and Spearmint" , I can put one of my other characters in if you want me to, so you can get more involved?)
Walking down the sidewalk, and having not been paying attention to where he was going, Sariel stopped at a corner store, walking in and wandering down one of the aisles. I guess I'll get something then go home. He thought, stopping and looking at the refrigerated drinks, only really paying a small amount of attention to what they had. I hope he's not one of those people who tells everyone everything. I didn't cover it up as well as I usually do, but then, people normally don't ask such specific questions.
(is there anything I can do with Pandora? sorry, I'm not really sure what to write)
Well, it's still the morning in the rp, so you could give her a job or set her up to where she would meet someone. So far, Sariel is in a gas station, Thatcher and Sophia are talking, James is going to work, and Aria is at a shooting range I believe. ))
(sorry for my lack of brainpower right now
could she be walking in the same direction as Sariel and accidentally crash into him?)
No worries! But that sounds good for now, my last reply shouldn't be too far up on this page.))
(alright, thank you)
Pandora sighed to herself as she entered the corner store, fidgeting with her torn sleeve. See, this is why you never wear loose clothing, she chastised herself, absentmindedly browsing through the aisles of junk food. Smart Food.. she thought, I need some Smart Food. Not finding any in the first few aisles, she turned a corner— bumping straight into a tall man.
Taking a few steps to the side, Sariel briefly looked at the girl through widened eyes. Before being bumped into, he had zoned out once again, staring at the drinks behind the door and thinking of what had happened on the train and in the subway station.
"Sorry about that," Sariel said, refocusing his eyes and finally listening to what was going on around him She was another one of the people on the train. He thought, noticing the torn up sleeve and prosthetic arm. Swinging open one of the cooler doors, Sariel took out a bottle of water and then shut the door, only to see one of the screws keeping the door connected to its hinges, lying on the floor.
Pandora stumbled backwards, muttering apologies. Her eyes honed in on the fallen screw, mind flitting back to the train, where the whole handle had fallen. She frowned slightly. Speaking of.. "Sorry about that– are you okay? I think I recognize you from somewhere?"
