He raised a doubtful eyebrow. "I beg your pardon?" Glancing at the clock, he grimaced. "Ah, I should probably be going. See you soon?"
He raised a doubtful eyebrow. "I beg your pardon?" Glancing at the clock, he grimaced. "Ah, I should probably be going. See you soon?"
“Oh? Yeah. Yeah, of course,” Devon said, fighting her blush away as she looked back at him with a small smile. “You’ll come into the coffee shop soon, I hope?”
"Oh, definitely," he promised sweetly, taking a tiny step forward. "See you." Smiling, he gave her a hesitant side hug before steeping away. "That was okay?"
Devon grinned and nodded at him. “Yes, it was fine. Thank you…” When was the last time someone did that to me… and I enjoyed it? “I guess I’ll see you soon, then.”
"Perfect. Bye, see you tomorrow." He raised a hand in farewell and was gone, his face practically glowing.
Devon shut the door behind him, still smiling as she made her way to the couch. What was he doing to her? She never acted this way about anyone these days… And yet, she couldn’t help herself when it came to Sebastian…
(skip?)
(HUG HUG FALL IN LOVE!)
(Lol, Callie.
Sure, a skip sounds good. Maybe when he visits her at work?)
(Lol
Sure, want me to start?)
(If you want. Otherwise, I can.)
I can)
Sebastian rubbed at a new bruise on his cheekbone, wincing slightly as he pushed open the door of the coffee shop. His face lit up as soon as he caught sight of Devon. Making his way over to the counter, he reached over to tap on the cash register and get her attention.
Devon was cleaning some supplies out when Sebastian arrived, and she spun around at the sound of someone tapping something. Upon seeing who it was, she grinned and walked over, still carrying the dish and rag.
“Sebastian! Wow, you just missed the rush. Perfect timing,” she told him happily.
He grinned, propping his elbows up on the counter. “Hey, you. How’s everything going?” His heart pattered happily at the sight of her, fireworks going off in his chest.
Devon blushed a bit and ducked her head to hide it. In the process, her hair fell in front of her face, so she tried to blow it back.
"It's fine. The rush was ridiculous, though. I can't believe we get so many people here," she mused as she finished up with the dish. "What about you?"
(HELP HER WITH HER HAIR, SEB.)
“I’m good now that I’m with you,” he responded happily, hoping she didn’t notice the new bruise marring his cheek. “You must be tired, though, when do you get off?” Noticing that she seemed to be having trouble with her hair, he reached across the counter to brush some of it behind her ear, suddenly pulling away when he realized what he’d done. “Was that- was that okay? Sorry— I wasn’t thinking.”
(HELP HER WITH HER HAIR, SEB.)
Autumn is this okay? Lol
(HELP HER WITH HER HAIR, SEB.)
Autumn is this okay? Lol
(Lol. Yeah, it's fine. Do you want me to post or so you want to do that first?)
I’ll edit my post, one sec
Fixed!
(YAY)
(Aw, Sebs… So considerate.)
Devon blushed heavily at the gesture. She couldn't even form words for a moment as she gaped at him.
"No. No, it was fine… Um… Yeah, so, I get off at about three," she stuttered, turning to put the dish and rag away.
(G’morning!)
Sebastian flushed pink at her response, heart stumbling over several beats. “Alright. Anything I can help with before then? If you want, I could, uh, pick up Layla from the day care and bring her here?”
(Morning! Feeling any better?)
Devon blinked and finished up with the dish before turning around. “Would you? That would be awesome. Thanks,” she said softly, smiling at him.
(A bit, yeah
How’re you?)
“No problem,” he returned with a shy smile. “What time should I be there?”
(Well, that’s good.
I’m good! Just found out that my new coworker likes a lot of the same things as me. Including role playing!)
“Well… I’m usually there at about 3:15, but if you want to be here by three, then maybe 2:45?” Devon suggested.
(Woah, that’s great!)
“Great, you can count on me.” He reached into his back pocket. “And while I’m here, is there anything you’d do like me to order for you?”
(Oh my gosh, it was so busy… I have a headache from it.)
Devon’s heart melted at the offer. First, he asked if he could pick Layla up for her, and now he wanted to buy her something? Gosh, could he be any sweeter?
“You don’t have to do that,” she assured him softly.
(You should rest!)
