((I'll just post my opening
Akari readjusted his backpack, slipping it onto his opposite shoulder as he carefully picked up the small porcupine that had previously been resting in his bag and placing it carefully down on his head, to which it snuggled into his hair. He let out a long sigh as he glanced at the building before walking in swiftly as he glanced at the room assignments. Stopping briefly to find his name before continuing to explore the area. He glanced towards different doors, taking the chance to glance inside if they were unlocked. He was currently trying to find the gym.
Oliver began to strum again, singing softly. This time, he was playing Let it Be. He loved the Beatles; his mother had gotten him hooked.
"So…you like the Beatles then?" Meredith said after a few minutes. It's good that Oliver and I can bond over something. After his enthusiastic introduction, I thought that we wouldn't have anything in common.
Akari's eye twitched slightly before he took a breath to relax himself slightly. making sure to walk steadily so his little buddy doesn't go hurdling to the ground. He looked at the two doors just ahead. 'One of these has got to be the gym, if not… I'll still be calm and i won't freak out.' He sighed and opened the door rather daintily. Only to his surprise and regret, he had found people and instruments. 'Dammit…'
Eva grinned and waved to the new guy, "Hey there! I'm Eva who are you? Want to join us?"
The first thing Meredith noticed was the little porcupine on the head of the new person. She immediately perked up, but didn't run over to him. Instead, she stared at the adorable porcupine, smiling at it.
Akari took in a breath. Scooping up the porcupine in his hand left hand before placing it in his pocket. He then slide his bag off his shoulder. taking a small notebook and pen from his bag before quickly writing 'Akari Tatsuo, Depends what you're doing.' He turned the notepad to Eva, his face remaining as stoic as he could manage.
"We're just playing music. It's nice to meet you Akari!" Eva beamed. So the kid wrote instead of talked, oh well. She asked, "Where are you from?"
Akari wrote the answer a bit faster this time around, glancing at the others in the room before turning the notepad to Eva. The rather blunt answer being 'Australia.'
Eva looked at it puzzled, "With your name I would have guessed somewhere like Japan."
“Yes, I love the Beatles,” Oliver said with slight smile, before perking up when the door opened. He’s hot, was the first thing to run through his mind, and then how cute his porcupine is. “Bonjour. my names Oliver,” he called, quietly strumming the guitar. Nice greeting, it’s about 5 minutes late, stupid.
Akari sighed internally, slightly flipping through the notepad to a previously written reply 'I'm named after my great grandfather, he himself was Japanese. My mum held the name dearly. I'm sorry if you were confused it occurs quite frequently'.
"Oh no that's fine!" Eva smiled, "I just found it interesting that's all. You don't see a whole ton of Australians sporting a name like yours."
He nodded slightly before he felt rustling in his pocket. He lightly placed his hand to the opening where the small porcupine crawled onto his hand before raising it to his head. Where the porcupine made itself at home, his lips twitched upwards slightly before going back to their original position. 'So are you all reenacting the beetles or?' he rose cocked a brow slightly.
Eva laughed a little, "I guess. Pero we're actually just a bunch of kids with instruments."
(Is this still open as hell?)
Akari nodded lightly, actually quite amused with the statement 'I can understand that, i believe i learned how to play the saxophone.' He lightly traced the scar on his across his nose as he usually does while thinking about or trying to remember something.
((I think so but i'd ask the chat owner
"The saxophone? That's awesome," Eva said brightly, "I think there's one around here. Do you think you could play for us?"
Akari waited a second before nodding 'I'd need someone to hold Wombat for me' he scribbled down.
"Wombat? Who's wombat?" Eva asked as she looked around for the saxophone.
