“Graye, you’re shaking.” Jack said, pulling the boy’s hand down.

“It’s just one day’s pay, Graye. I’ll be alright.” Jack got up and dig through the cabinet, finding a bottle of ibuprofen. “Take one of these.” He said, filling a cup with water and giving to Graye, along with the pill.

"W-Wait- Jack-"

“What?” Jack asked.

Graye inhaled shakily, then pulled him into a tight hug.

Jack hugged back. “Come on. Take the pill and go to bed.”

He pressed his lips to Jack's forehead, unwilling to let go.

Jack stiffened, but then relaxed. “I love you, too, Graye. Can you go to bed now?”

Graye sighed, dropping into a sit with Jack still in his arms. "You Should Still Go To Work.."

“No, I think I’ll stay home today.”
