Hi I'm an avid Uke player and I'd love to chat about your fave uke songs, artists, and anything else!

Hey! Multi-instrumentalist (is that a word?) here. I got a uke for my birthday this year and I really love it!

They're awesome!

I bought one and loved it so much!

I have a tenor and a soprano now and they sound lovely

I don’t play the ukulele but I do know it’s super popular. I like it but I don’t intend on playing it. Unless Ellinoot teaches me when we meet up.

sneaks out of chat

What's you guys' fave song to play atm?

It's actually a song I wrote a couple months ago! It's really fun because there's a sudden tempo change for the bridge and it uses a lot of funky chords

Ahhhh I wish I could write songs. I’ve got a lot of chord progressions and patterns that have no lyrics bc I can’t write lyrics lmao

Cool!

I really like Would You Be So Kind and Things We Used to Share

I tried to play Bohemian Rhapsody today and epically failed xD

Sometimes you look at a chord and you just sit there like "You want me to do what with my fingers?"

It's the opposite for me, I churn out lyrics like nobody's business but it takes me months to write the music… Anyway, I started writing songs when I was eleven, and they were pretty awful, but now I think I'm pretty good! Keep trying, you never know where you'll end up! :D

Yeah lol, chord progressions for me are super easy because I just strum and hum until I get something pretty, and then keep adding to it to make it unique. But then when it comes to actual lyrics, it can take me weeks or months to write one short song

I haven't actually tried to write a song cus I'm not sure what I would write about but I have a few melody ideas
