A third shot. Kate muttered a curse and aimed again.

Jay sighed then went on his way walking back home. As he walked he picked up the smoke bomb cartridge he through.
He sighed, knowing she wouldn't take no for an answer " I love you too" He kissed her cheek "don't die kitty, for me." he gave a small smile and jumped after his parents, throwing a smoke bomb towards the black Mercedes before running
Maria's eyes widened and she swerved out of the way. The car skidded across the lane. Maria threw her arm across the console and pushed Kate back against the seat. The smoke blurred Kate's vision. "Kate!" was the last thing she heard before the car collided with a pole on the opposite side of the street.
Vanessa laughed. "I'll try " she said.
Kate blinked away. Smoke from the engine combined with leftover smoke from the bomb clouded her vision. She coughed and inhaled air into her lungs. She took in the scene. Maria was slumped against the seat, her eyes closed and blood was trickling from her temple. "Mom?" Kate whispered. Maria didn't move. "Mom?!"
Jay was walking when he watched the crash, he walked over towards it.
Kate freed her arms. "Mom?!" she pleaded, reaching over to shake Maria. "Mom, wake up!"
(She's not dead, btw. I would never kill Maria Hill.)
(Ok) Jay walked over to the car. "You ok?" he asked calmly and sarcastically.
Kate looked up and scowled. "What do you want?"
"Well I wanted to peacefully walk home. But it looks like that is out of the option. The peaceful part at least." He replied.
May I join?///
Kate looked away from him. "Mom?" she repeated. Her phone vibrated in her back pocket. "Ambulance!" she cried aloud. She pulled it out and dialed 911.

He opened the door of the car. "Do you know if she has a pulse."
Tenya arrived on the scene late, but noticed skid marks on the road. He'd already notified the authorities about the situation, and they should be somewhere. In the meantime, he would do his best to help. He was a hero, after all. Plus, he felt a sort of obligation, since they were his students. Getting back in his car(using his engines when he didn't need to probably freaked people out a little), Tenya began going in the direction the marks went.
(I'm planning on having him find Kate, Maria and Jay)
Brink glanced back as he heard screeching and yells bit kept running, hoping to God that it wasn't Vanessa "where to?" He called after his mom and dad
"Trevor mansion, where me and your mother got married, no one can go there except us." He called over his shoulder, glancing back and slowing down so his son could catch up
Kate finished her call and managed to get the debris off of her so she could get out of the car. She began to work on getting Maria out safely. "Mom? Mom, wake up, please…"
"can I help you please." Jay asks following her to the other side of the car.
"Did Brink put you up to this?" she asked, the venom in her voice only there to try and hide the worry.
"whoa calm down. I hate that guy. Though we are friends. I owed him and my debt is paid. Now do you want help or not?"
Kate looked from Jay to her mom. Without saying a word, she nodded and sniffed, trying to keep herself composed.
He walked over and first checked Kate's mom's pulse.
Kate bit her lip and watched. "Is… Is she…"
"she is alive." He told Kate.
Kate sighed with relief. "Why won't she wake up then?"
"momentarily passed out maybe. The impact could have jolted her at such a level that it sent her into a short comatose state."
Kate cupped her hands over her mouth. She lowered her hands and breathed out shakily. "How long?"
"shouldn't be too long. And I'm not sure if we should get her out of the car. We aren't sure what kind of injuries she could have." He said slowly.
Kate nodded. When the ambulance arrived, it was just a blur of red and blue lights to her through the layer of tears that clouded her vision. Her chest was tight and it felt hard for her to breathe.
