She looked at him and arched her eyebrows. "R-Really?" she asked, a small smile flickering across her face.

"yeah really." He said then stood up and took a step back.

Harley nodded and helped her up the stairs, "thank you, for what you did back there, helping brink and letting us escape. You didn't have to do that." She led her inside, sitting her next to Brink and left to grab some first aid supplies. "I'll go help your mother." Joker said with a nod to his son and a small smile towards Vanessa "brave kitty." He said before he left.
When he saw them leave, Brink stood up and sat next to Vanessa, grabbing her hand and sighing "you keep doing that, your going to lose your nine lives kitty"

"yeah really." He said then stood up and took a step back.

Kate hesitantly stood up, not letting go of Maria's hand. "You're sure?"

"well I'll die knowing I saved you and your family" she said.

He nodded, "any other injuries?" he asked, "hows your shoulder?" momentarily forgetting about the gunshot wound until now

Vanessa squeezed his hand ¨I´m sure¨ she said calmly.

"yeah really." He said then stood up and took a step back.

Kate hesitantly stood up, not letting go of Maria's hand. "You're sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I deserve it."

Kate squeezed Maria's hand once and let it fall gently against the mattress. She set up in an attacking stance and arched her eyebrows.

Jay stared at her standing across from her ready.

He let out a ragged breath and nodded "wait so it wasn't you who crashed….who then?" thinking back to their pursuers

It was everything and more. Anger, grief, pain, desperation. The hardest punch she'd ever thrown. Right in the middle of his chest.

Jay fell to the ground and coughed. "wow, great punch." he said breathlessly.

Kate knelt beside him quickly. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hit you that hard, are you okay?"

"Yeah, If I'm not I am already in a hospital." He joked.

"oh…" he looked down and thought for a moment "hope they make it through alright," he said with effort. " Is your mom going to pick you up?" he asked trying to change the subject

She surprisingly laughed. "Seriously though, are you okay?"

¨No My MoM thinks I´m at training I had to make sure you were okay before I left¨ she said.
