Rykah lay down, thinking for a long time before falling asleep.

Will woke up in the morning shivering. He room a deep breath and recovered from the nightmare. He prayed he hadn’t talked or even yelled earlier that night.

Rykah rolled overhis leftwing was under himand his right was splayed out behind him, half folded. his sleeping bag was open, and he was half out of it and the edge was pulled over his head like a blanket.

“You awake, Rykah?”

Rykah made a small noise, not wanting to move.

“You okay?”

"Leavemealoneiwannasleep…." came the nearly unintelligible sound from Rykah's tangle

Will laughed. He checked the clock, and noticed that it was nearly 8:30. “We should probably get up.

"nooooooooo….." moaned Rykah rolling over again and becoming a ball of fur and feathers and sleeping bag.

“Come oooooon.” Will said, mimicking Rykah almost perfectly.

"nnnnoooooooooo" said the bundle of fur, feathers, and sleeping bag.

“Rykaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.”

"leeeaveemeeealooone" came the voice from the pile in the corner.

Will got up and stood above Rykah. “Come on, Rykah.”

"nope" came the reply.

Will bent down and loudly said, “YES!”

The bundle rolled over with a grumpy moan, Rykah glared up at him before pulling a blanket over his head and hiding once more.

Will pulled the blanket away and pointed to the window, before opening the curtain, flooding the room with sunlight. “It’s so pretty outside!”

Rykah covered his face with his wings immediately, "Noooooooo"

(I’m pretty sure that it would be a school day, but we can make so they don’t have to go to school for whatever reason.)
Will sat down next to Rykah and sighed. “Really?”

(The day before was Saturday remember? This day is Sunday!!)
Rykah just made noise of frustration, "Fine I'm up" he said as he sat up, his wings splayed out behind him.

(Oh dang you’re right! Whoops.)
“Good! What do you want to do today?”

"No idea…" said Rykah, a bit grumpy that he'd been woken up..

“Oh, come on. The sun is shining! It’s like 60 degrees out! It’s a beautiful day, we can do anything!”

"I kinda wanted to sleep.." said Rykah…

"What time do you usually get up?" Will asked, incredously.

"6…. or 5…. sometimes 4…." said Rykah… "Dew gets you cold and wet in the morning if you aren't moving around before then, well.. then you get wet.."

Will immediately changed his mind, and said, “Go ahead and sleep, Rykah. It’s Sunday, and my family won’t be awake for a while anyway.” He knew for a fact his sister was probably already up, and his brother had been up for several hours. His mother and father were at work, so actually everybody was up, but they wouldn’t be out of their rooms for a while.
